Fono is a puzzle platformer that explores the question ‘What if everything was made of particles?’. Not only is every visual element in the game made of particle effects, all the game mechanics and puzzles are constructed around a principled use of particle systems and their interaction with the world. From basics, such as looking around and navigating your surroundings, through interacting with objects, to triggering simple mechanisms. Use your radar/lidar-like ability to uncover the world around you!

**NOTE:** This review is part of my steam curator review and is the extended version. Check my steam curator page at https://store.steampowered.com/curator/39607348-Random-Game-Reviews-by-Labprofess/ . Follow appreciated! --- This is quite the unique puzzle type game. Not in a bad way of course! This is a simple laid out game consisting of multiple levels with one goal: to get to the ending portal. Being a fire ball (well I think thats how to define the character haha) one moves through a 2D maze by jumping on various platforms (think doodle jump). These various platforms are unlocked with specific ‘particle powers’ found in the specific map. This means that too unlock a certain plattform you might need one power that you have to get first - otherwise you cant reach the ending portal. Further, these ‘particle powers’ when activated light up the surrounding area for a few seconds in various ways too aid you in coordinating yourself. Abit like slenderman but don't worry - this doesn't make it a horror game at all. It just adds to the challenging factor. The levels start of easy too progressively get more difficult. However, don't let this scare you! There’s not too much brain power …6 found this helpful
Nice relaxing game with good audio/visual effects. Also the music at the end is really great.2 found this helpful
Fono is an innovative and enjoyable rhythm-based puzzle game that combines music with strategic thinking. Players must arrange various elements in sync with the rhythm to solve puzzles and advance through levels. The game's minimalist design, paired with its catchy soundtrack, creates a relaxing yet engaging atmosphere. The puzzles are cleverly designed, with increasing difficulty that encourages both creativity and precision. While the gameplay is simple, it can become quite challenging as the levels progress, requiring quick reflexes and a good sense of timing. The lack of a traditional narrative may leave some players wanting more depth, but the focus on rhythm and puzzle-solving makes Fono a fun and unique experience for fans of music and puzzle games alike.
more fun than expected
