About Fox Pines
Fox Pines is a short first-person horror experience of tension, exploration, and survival inspired by the classics and made by a solo developer. Guided only by a flashlight and the pages he left behind, you must push deeper into the ruins of the park and uncover what really happened here. But you’re not alone—something in the forest stalks you, driven by hunger and hate, and your survival depends entirely on evasion and sound management:
- You have no weapons and no means of combat. Your only option when confronted is to run and evade the persistent, unseen predator that stalks you.
- Navigate via in-world map boards. Collect your brother’s journal pages to navigate the park and uncover what happened here.
- Use ambient and directional sound cues to monitor the creature’s location, and carefully manage your own volume (walking vs. sprinting) to avoid detection.
-Piece together the disturbing history of the park, its mining past, and the subsequent disappearances by finding tape recorders left behind.
Once a booming mining site, Fox Pines was quietly shut down after a tragic collapse sealed dozens of workers inside the mountain. Years later, a corporation bought the land and turned it into a peaceful wilderness retreat for hikers, campers, and nature lovers. But people started disappearing—and the park was shut down again.
Nobody talks about Fox Pines anymore. Nobody goes there.
Except you.
Find the truth. Find your brother. If you can survive.

The developer reached out to me to ask if I'd like to try this for one of my horror streams. I agreed and was provided a key for it. He was prompt, polite, and did not request a review or anything further from me. I'm writing this because I had so much fun with this game. It has some great horror elements, scary moments, and sense of dread while being chased. I did not complete the game but I'm happy to report that I will be continuing with the game until I do. I gotta find my brother! Definitely recommend this one. Looking forward to future projects from this developer, whether it's updates for this game or additional titles. Well done.1 found this helpful

Fun little indie game. Does it have some flaws? Sure but it still a cool horror survival game that gives you good exploration and a sense of dread. 10/10 recommend. Looking forward to more games from this studio and hopefully some fishing DLC1 found this helpful
