From The Past

Probably the weakest of JustTomcuk games I've played, but still enjoyable. Like the other games it does great at creating anxiety using sounds and the atmosphere.

[h1]FROM THE PAST[/h1] It is the eight horror walking simulator game by JustTomcuk developer. From The Past is a short game with a decent experience. Just like every walking sims out there, the game is mostly linear with some back and forth to trigger THE particular script which enables you to progress further. The scary moments are mostly the jump scares that you get at times but the atmosphere is creepy in itself. The visuals are kinda fine (vhs filter get's annoying honestly, you do have an option to enable pixel visuals), so is the audio. Walking speed is still slow AF. Level design get's the job done while nothing exceptional. The motion blur was slacked a lot in here so there's that! The game supports perfectly UltraWide Screen monitor but no FOV option. There is a minimalist menu in this game with basic info but still too basic for me. Would love more options and to disable motion blur entirely too. A creepy walking sim with simple enough puzzles that is short but lovingly made. Shout out to the dev for some seriously immersive and unsettling sound design here.

just didn't do it for me, a lot of walking with no real goal, just find things to click on then walk some more...not for me...

An unfortunately super boring, dark, and tedious walking sim. You progress through levels by finding keys and unlocking doors on the opposite side of the building, but for some reason, you can only run while outside. This restriction makes the gameplay feel insanely slow and frustrating.
