From Glory To Goo is a colony-building strategy game where you expand your settlement on a hostile alien world while managing resources like shelter, water, and power as encroaching waves of Goo threaten your survival. Procedurally generated maps, upgradeable ship modules, unique captains with progression systems, and multiple factions to ally or fight create fresh strategic challenges with every playthrough.
As your spacecraft is pulled in by the planet more Goo will be drawn to your colony. Hold back the waves and make the most of the time when things are quiet.
Recruit and build a variety of units, some unlockable through research or uniquely available to certain captains.
Expansion is the key to survival. Claim valuable resources, discover wreckage from previous doomed expeditions as well as native aliens to ally or destroy and other secrets to aid you in your fight.

- Experience new strategic choices every time you play, with procedurally generated maps across different biomes.
- Repairing and upgrading your colony ship is the key to survival. Send resources back into space to allow for new modules to be built like manufacturing zones, laboratories and an array of weaponry.
- Choose from a variety of unique captains that gain experience and level up as the game progresses. Find and unlock new weapons, skills and passive abilities that will assist you in driving back The Goo.
- Unlock more ships, captains and biomes when you complete objectives whether you win or lose.

However, some find the UI unintuitive and certain mechanics tedious, particularly the hidden bridge-building feature and restrictive vision-based building limitations that feel like unnecessary friction rather than meaningful challenge.
I could go on and on about how much fun this game is, but I'll leave that to people with more time on their hands! Buying in now is a no-brainer if this type of game is something you're even sort of interested in. The game is absolutely fantastic in it's current state and I'm sure it will only get better with further content drops. It took me a few hours to work out the basic mechanics but now that I have I am hooked! Very addictive base building RTS gameplay. Quite difficult but not unfair. Great value for money.1 found this helpful

I like the game, however I kind of didnt understand the ship system, made it quite a few missions in and realized I didn't upgrade the ship at all, but the ship upgrade resource doesnt accumulate like the resources after missions, so I lost a ton of work my "engineers" could have been doing, and I could have had to upgrade me ship... I think? I feel for me the ship system is one layer to deep. I can understand the trade off of Robots vs humans, building eco vs buidling defence, turrets vs units, etc. But the ship system is hard to understand and use. Some missions I can one special ability, other missions I have others some I have none. I dont really understand. There are tutorials for many of the other mechanics but not for this part. I am fearful I will get to late game and be punished for not upgrading the ship, so I kind of lost intrest in playing any further.
