[h1] 茜色 review[/h1] I really wanted to recommend this game and like it because [b]Chinese yuri[/b] but the English translation is inadequate for the story that this visual novel wanted to tell. While the translation is not down right intelligible, and maybe it would have been fine if this was a simple slice of life story but because it has a supernatural element I still have questions about the story that I felt got lost in translation. This VN should have an editor that can help with the formatting issues ie. text spilling out of the text box, and the inconsistent translations. In spite of the translation, the art style, and the story, as I could understand, was enjoyable although sometimes the art style in the CGs felt inconsistent and I had a hard time telling why do these two girls even love each other; it felt like a dysfunctional relationship. I did really enjoy the aspects of Chinese school life and I am a sucker for parental-child drama so Xiaoxin story with her Mom did make me tear up. I really wish I could recommend this but until the translation is edited I would stick to try reading this in Chinese if you know it.

QianSe is chinese yuri VN which is not that common in modern day .This game will tell us about 2 girls and their lifes from childhood to adulthood, Topics hame touching are really unique and uncommon , Problem with parent-child relationships and lack of parental love , struggles with finding goal in life and true maning of love are themes there. The game is very long and it took for me more than 20 hours to complete it without extras ((yeah exrtras dont work in english and i am really disappointed about it , i want them so badly)). 1. Techical side : It is good , i had 0 crashes or some issues at all , everything worked perfectly so 9/10 2.Audio and music : it is ok , maybe music is not the best but it is not annoying and fits the style so 8/10 3. Art. Art style is inconsistent but overall good , CGs are super cute , some of backgrounds are just real life photoshoped photos while others are art , is it good or bad ? i cant really tell but i liked it , those backgrounds were fitting the atmosphere and story well , the charecter art is simple but cute and there are a lot of variations of charecters emotions. despite its simplicity art here is cute and cozy and somehow really rememb…

While the translation is definitely imperfect, the artwork is cute, and the developers clearly put their hearts into this.

This is a good yuri visual novel. It has two really compelling main characters that develop nicely throughout the story, and the art style is charming. I especially like the backgrounds. It's not without a few problems, though. The biggest is it's English localization, which I would give a D. It's really bad at times, and while you can understand everything that's happening, the bad translations definitely blunt the effectiveness of both humorous and dramatic moments. Also, the story does have a really well-executed mystery and the reveal is excellent -- but it goes on for way too long after all the details of the mystery are revealed. I recommend it on the whole, especially if you're looking for something that scratches a similar itch to something like SeaBed -- although it definitely isn't as good as that masterpiece.

I like this VN quite a lot, it reminds me a bit of Adachi & Shimamura (they even reference it in-game!) but it's unique enough that it's not an imitation or anything of that sort. The setting feels very oppressive but it should be familiar to most, especially if you come from a similar cultural background. The writing puts weight in the characters' experiences and emotions while also avoiding lecturing them. The yuri is great, I enjoyed reading how their love grows along with them. Art and music is nice, the CGs are cute and I love that it was done by multiple artists, the portraits at the left corner are a bit mushed up but it's fine, the music is royalty-free and mostly well-picked, some tracks are louder than the rest and could be distracting but not a big problem. I wasn't reading it in English but the translation is lowkey buns, they definitely could have done better. I'm willing to overlook the negatives because the writing and characters are lovely, the creators are clearly very passionate about yuri.

an underrated gem amongst yuri visual novels the interface and translation are crude, the music is underwhelming, and the art is inconsistent (though very cute across all styles), but the story balances out (if not completely weighs out) everything that's not perfect about this vn. the two main characters have such charming and perpetual chemistry throughout the course of their relationship. the overall plot is a bit cheesy, but the problems they face both personally and regarding each other are realistic and written with so much thought and care. you can tell the writers had so much passion for this vn, and despite the jankiness, the love shines through. critical review out the way: i loved this visual novel so much. it has all the tropes that i adore (childhood friends, soulmates, codependency) and dealt with serious topics that i love to see explored. SPOILERS: [spoiler]suicide and parental issues are difficult and complex subjects to write about, and many stories veer into victim blaming in the process. but this visual novel potrayed such topics with both the sensitivity and seriousness they require.[/spoiler] there were also some fun references to other yuri media that i en…
