About Game of Crafts: VR Immersion in the World of Russian Folk Art
Put on your virtual reality goggles and let your imagination run wild. Together with an AI named Kika, go from an apprentice to a real master of Russian folk crafts. Learn the secrets of ancient artists and save Kika by bringing colors and patterns back to her home.
- Feel like an artist! Use VR controllers to select patterns and apply them to objects around you.
- Do as you like! Change the size of patterns and choose how to combine them. Nobody prevents you from decorating Kiki's house with a mixture of Zhostovo and Gzhel bouquets.
- Modernize traditions! Prove that folk crafts have not gone out of fashion. Paint a motorcycle under Khokhloma? Easily! Cover the sofa with Palekh miniatures? Why not!
- Touch history! Find out together with Kika why Gzhel was not always blue and white, and how the Zhostovo and Tagil paintings are related.
- Become an explorer! Explore the workshop and open secret niches to find new patterns.
- Learn crafting skills! Assemble the painting blanks from the parts hidden all over the place, but make sure they fit together.

Game of Crafts: VR Immersion in the World of Russian Folk Art is a free VR game that has puzzle and pattern matching action. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was barely understandable. The voice overs are in Russian, with a female voice, has English subtitle and text. CONS : Does not work with HTC Vive controllers. Maybe try this free, if you are interested in Russia history and art.6 found this helpful

Works on Oculus / Meta Quest 2. Good idea and interesting concept! You get to search through the workshop for various Russian folk culture items to know more about certain styles. Sadly on my Quest it looked a bit strange just as others mentioned. But not affecting playability1 found this helpful
Some decent work on capturing interesting locations. The modern/folk twist is a little unusual, but not bad. I had some issues getting it to run properly on my Quest over link for some reason, but it's like better behaved on a native SteamVR headset.1 found this helpful
"Game of Crafts: VR Immersion in the World of Russian Folk Art" isn't a game. Real games require "gameplay", in the form of game loops and gamelike interaction, which is absent here. Rather than functioning as a game, "Game of Crafts: VR Immersion in the World of Russian Folk Art" is just a software application... A VR tech demo where you get a few scenes and you can throw some Russian folk art stuff around at it. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. An obvious example of a game loop would be in games like Forza, where you drive a car in a circle. If you're faster and more skillful than the other drivers, you get rewarded for first place, and you repeat that test of your skill again with each race. Even open world/sandbox games like Minecraft feature a core game loop where you search for materials, use them to construct something, which rewards you in terms of increasing your progression and allowing you to repeat the next loop to get more and better materials. Those are game loops. This software has no such loop and no interactive gameplay/feedback. It isn't a ga…
