3/10 hardly a puzzle game, you just click on everything.

Giant Blobs From Mars is an usual, simplistic low poly puzzle game where you drop a single blob from a UFO, and must make that blob grow and spread before each node dies, until you cover the playing area in each level. The trick is that it takes "energy" to take over each square on the grid, and you only have so much time before each blob dies, so you need to budget and plan carefully. As far as puzzle games go the concept is unique and clever, I liked it. While this was made in Unity I couldn't see any evidence to suggest this was an asset flip, it's a genuine indie video game. That's great to see, and unfortunately all too rare in this world of cash grabs and asset flips. Unfortunately this is far from perfect, there's a few issues. The low poly/minimalist art isn't really up to the standards one would expect from a contemporary PC game. The controls and camera angles aren't perfect, either, moving around the map was dissatisfying, and expanding your blobs is finicky when it should be simple and obvious how to do it. All these problems stem from a single, somewhat obvious root cause... this seems to be a mobile app rather than a PC game. It looks and feels like it was…

Blob invasion imminent! A chess?-like invasion-blob game! I don't think I've played anything like this before. Worth a try if you like puzzle games with a twist.
