Control a tiny ball of grey goo with the ability to eat anything smaller than itself. The more it eats, the bigger it gets! Soon you'll be able to eat the entire planet...
The grey goo was originally created as a bathroom cleaner. It was only supposed to eat dirt and bacteria - cleaning your bathroom automatically. Instead it eats anything that it touches: dirt, bacteria, bugs, fish, mice, cats, dogs, cars, trees, houses, planets, galaxies... Everything!
Levels
Munch your way through 60 levels and over 140 objects. Start as a microscopic entity in the laboratory and grow up to eat the city and more.
Brand New Art
The original Tasty Planet has never looked so good. To celebrate its release on Steam, we've complete redone all the artwork. The classic artwork can be toggled in the game's settings.
Controller Support
Keyboard and mouse controls are supported.
On Windows, most controllers will work.
On Mac, only PS3 and PS4 controllers are supported.

I usually like this kind of game where your character, in this case grey goo, gets bigger and bigger as it eats or absorbs things smaller than itself. Games like the Katamari series (personal favorites) , Feeding Frenzy 2, Mutant Blobs Attack or Donut County. However, Tasty Planet feels like a more primitive example of that subgenre. To be fair, it was the first game in that series released back in 2006 and I'm sure the designers improved over time, as I saw with Tasty Blue. The mouse control didn't always feel right, and I often had to drag the mouse repeatedly. That could be alleviated by raising the mouse sensitivity level, but then it became more like a bar of soap on ice and I lost precision. Not such a big deal at first, but when humans started to actively evade, it was annoying. The gamepad worked better and it became my preference, but you can't navigate the menus with it. Everything was viewed from a top-down perspective and you're stuck in a relatively small square. Very little detail in the backgrounds, and it was the same for each series of levels. The musics were fun and cheery, but they were short and there was only 3 of them for 60 levels. Even though the levels wer…10 found this helpful

Tasted the planet
Simple mobile style game ported to PC. Most levels are a fun challenge, although some levels are near impossible. Fun casual gameplay. No problems from a technical perspective.
This game gets annoying occasionally but it's an absolute classic. Good game.
