About Gifted: The Tombs
Gifted: The Tombs is a rogue-like dungeon crawler. Dive into the tombs solo or or in a group of up to four, over network play. You and your allies are to traverse as many floors down as you can, killing enemies, and gaining powerful equipment along the way. Combat is third person, over the shoulder, with melee, and ranged aspects. Collect armor, swords, gems, potions, and other fantasy items on each floor to gain power and continue further into the tombs. Find and equip magic books to gain abilities to aid you in your quest.
Set in the world of Gifted. Medieval civilizations struggle with the concept of some other mortals being favored by the gods. These favored people are Gifted. Their gifts would astound and amazing you. Warriors could lift a horse and hurl it into the air with ease, or a clairvoyant capable of telling you your deepest secrets. These individuals, their Gifts, and their motives could keep one up at night.
"You are not gifted. However with my magic, you could be - or at least strong enough that nobody would be the wiser. All I ask of you is to descend into the tombs below and acquire a simple artifact for me. Sounds easy enough?" - Unknown

As an adult with limited time to play games, I have enjoyed playing this indie gem, good amount of challenge trying to beat my previous floor progression and while I'm sure you can spend hours at a time playing, you can also get enjoyment out of a 20 minute session when time is short; the leader board is a nice feature that will probably keep me competing with others longer. With the mention of seasons I'm excited to see what content gets added. There are already features I like such as crafting and resource management with the planting seeds to get more materials and gathering materials to craft equipment. The different spell types and multiple spell slots add some variety as you can try out different combinations of spells to see what works better against the more difficult masses of enemies as you go deeper. Hopefully I get a chance to play multiplayer too, I haven't gotten to play with a party yet but that seems like it could be a lot of fun.3 found this helpful
I bought Gifted: The Tombs on day 1 of its release and have loved playing it. I'm a novice gamer with limited time and experience gaming. The tutorial's for new games can often be insufficient for people that haven't kept up with the gaming industry. I found the game play to be completely intuitive and it is refreshing to not have to invest too much time in learning the mechanics to enjoy a game. This game is fun from the first minute. Hopefully we see more games in the Gifted series soon.3 found this helpful
