I've been playing tons of cheap incremental games lately; usually between $2-$8 and about 2-4 hours of gameplay. They've all be "OK". This game has no business being as good as it is. The gameplay loop is fantastic and the aesthetic is fun. Haven't "finished" it yet, but I made an automated lumber farm and that felt awesome. Only critique: the soundtrack sounds like someone is practicing the guitar3 found this helpful
Cozy game with simple automation processes to feed your fire to light the surroundings and expand. Automation isn't high tech or huge like in other automation games, but enough to give you time to explore and build/upgrade. Camera is my biggest problem, because i can't zoom out and loose orientation very fast, plus the perspecive gives me headache when on low angle. I don't care much about the low graphics, it has its own charm.3 found this helpful
What a lovely little game! I can easily see myself putting a bunch of hours into this as game to play to wind down after a hard week. I muted the in game music and put on some peaceful piano music through spotify, 10/10 vibes2 found this helpful
I like this, I love exploring and gathering materials, I am grateful that there is more possibilities to automate the further you progress. However I struggle a bit with the camera angle, I would like a first person option1 found this helpful
I like the artstyle of the game. Simple but has a nice charming touch. 8/10 would recommend to anyone who looks for a cozy game to chill to.1 found this helpful
GlowCore is a small free to play action game built around fast movement, combat and glowing enemies. The game focuses on quick fights and simple mechanics rather than a huge story or complicated progression. The biggest strength is the combat. The fights are quick and you have to pay attention to enemies while moving around the environment. The simple controls make it easy to start playing, but getting better at avoiding attacks and dealing damage takes some practice. The glowing visual style also helps the game stand out. The bright effects against darker areas give it a nice arcade feeling and make the action easy to follow. The game is also easy to pick up for short sessions. You can jump in, play for a while and stop without needing to remember a huge number of systems. The biggest problem is the limited depth. There are not a huge number of different mechanics to discover, so the gameplay can start feeling repetitive once you have played for a while. The lack of a large story or progression system may also disappoint people looking for something more substantial. GlowCore is mainly about the action itself. Overall, GlowCore is a simple little action game with fast combat…
