I’ve put around 40 hours into Plan B: Terraform, and I’ve had a mostly positive experience. The core idea is fantastic: taking a barren planet and slowly turning it into a functioning civilization is incredibly satisfying. Terraforming is not just a progress bar either. It becomes part of the logistics puzzle. Digging canals through mountains, reshaping terrain for infrastructure, and building massive industrial networks are some of the most memorable moments the game offers. The logistics are surprisingly deep too. Trains, trucks, and ships each have their own strengths, and building a centralized industrial hub that supplies cities across the planet feels great. The biggest weakness is that many systems are more opaque than they need to be. It is difficult to know how to design things "correctly" without a lot of experimentation. Transport capacity numbers can be misleading because loading times, unloading, and travel distance all matter. Ship docks and drone logistics are especially tricky to optimize. As some others have said the game is exactly what it claims to be and delivers on that promise well. My favorite part of playing is seeing the water cycle come alive, create fertile plains, rivers, and watery valleys. Love it!1 found this helpful

Got fairly far in this automation/resource management game but the performance issues became too much to contend with. Do not purchase this game unless you are ready for constant crashes and low FPS all the time late game. After about 12 hours in, the gameplay gets repetetive and the push for 1m pop was just not worth the performance issues.
"Backup supply" is a very poor substitute for actually being able to manually prioritize inputs. We have the power to terraform planets, travel between stars, but you mean to tell me we can't tell our little fidget-spinner drones "hey, fill the dosh garn train from THIS RECYCLED PILE FIRST before pulling from the factory." Not to mention that this game is the king of rebuild the same factory over a dozen times because you are constantly finding some other more optimal way to lay it out (that is still wrong). I want to like Plan B, but it's more becoming a pain in the B.
