About Mycelium Conquest

Mycelium Conquest is a deep biological network automation game where you control a living fungal organism crash-landed on the alien world of Xenoterris. Grow a sprawling mycelial network, build complex production chains, and evolve from a tiny spore into a powerful entity capable of consuming the planet.

Grow or Die

Start as a vulnerable nascent spore and consume alien creatures and local flora to gather biomass. Hunt, kill, and absorb everything in your path across 5 evolution stages -- from a fragile organism barely surviving to a cosmic entity that consumes worlds.

Build Living Infrastructure

Construct biological structures to process raw resources through multi-stage production chains. Decompose organic matter, refine enzymes, and manage bottlenecks across sprawling factory complexes.

Automate Everything

Design production lines that transform basic resources into advanced materials. Optimize throughput, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale from a handful of structures to continental harvesting operations spanning vast distances.

Defend Your Network

Your growth attracts hostile alien creatures in escalating waves. Fight back with acidic spray attacks and build defensive structures. The bigger your network, the bigger the threats.

Honestly the game is a work in progress with as lot of kinks to iron out...BUT... the dev is not only active but takes ideas on board and updates pretty fast. This is the type of game you got to have patients for but the payoff is a very interesting concept. Its not factorio but no a bullet hell, it takes the concept of both with a little kick of rift gate in the mix creating a base building (organic spreading) Biomass that needs careful balancing of resources to progress with a very lively world full of many dangers and cool creatures. Deff worth a shot tbh.

Game is alright the Hud is very clunky, especially when using the research tree or building but you get used to it, I feel like one of the flaws with this game is that you have to own less efficient buildings if you want to build other ones and not all resources can be automated and must be gathered through killing enemies. it probs goes away as the game progresses but gameplay just felt slow and a bit boring. Music is pretty good for the theme of the game but the audio sucks whenever a larger enemy is nearby or whenever something is being killed, you also have no indication of whenever an enemy is attacking your base so you kind of have to guess. It doesn't have as big a hook as other factory sims but the price is pretty good for what your getting so I'd recommend it if you have the patience for a slower starting game. Game has potential so I'll probably check it out again in the future if they fix some of the more annoying parts of the game.

2026-06-21: The dev seems incredibly responsive and fixed my two major complaints within a matter of hours! I have even greater hopes for this game now. ----- Original Review, 2026-06-20: I look forward to what this game will be. I don't regret the time I've spent with it, but there are quite a few bugs, like the hover UI for buildings completely disappearing (You depend on this to tell you whether that building is operating well.), which requires a full save and reload to fix until it breaks again, so far as I can tell. This seems to happen sometimes when building things, which leads you to not want to build things for having to completely reload the game as a reward. This is the most egregious one, but expect things like teleporting fauna and various visual glitches as well, though these aren't gamebreaking. With that out of the way, the game is an interesting sort of literal 4X where you're spreading a fungus across the map to autoharvest flora and fauna. You get attacked by perambulating creatures in addition to waves that occasionally come. There's no penalty for overproduction and while resources do sometimes move on the map and you can build storages (which just raise you…

Game is fun but has started dropping to 7 FPS about 20 minutes into my map forcing a game reset each time. Each time game is fine for about 20 minutes then drops again to 7ish FPS.
