About Gore Screaming Show

Gore Screaming Show is a horror visual novel by esteemed developer Black Cyc, the minds behind the infamous SaDistic BlooD. In this, one of their most famous works, a boy named Kyoji seeks to unravel the mysteries that have taken root in his hometown while he was away. Mysteries tied to a young girl named Yuka, and her companion, the horrific Gore Screaming Show. The game plays out in a visual novel style format, with fully-voiced characters and beautiful 2D artwork by Ueda Metawo.

Story
With his parents moving to America for work, Jinno Kyoji returns to his hometown, Kurehito City, after several years of absence to live with his mother's cousin, the free-spirited Saitama Yamiko. There, he encounters several girls he shares a history with.

Kazuyagi Akane, the strong-spirited tomboy he grew up with.
Namiki Aoi, a gloomy girl who's Akane's best friend.
Misono Kiika, a graceful, good-natured classmate of his from his old school.

In three years of absence, his hometown and its people have changed ever so slightly. Despite some hiccups, Kyoji's peaceful days in his hometown begin.

At least until he meets a mysterious girl on his way to his first day at school. Violet hair. Large, striking eyes. Skin that's paler than the driven snow.

"Welcome home," she says. "My name is Yuka. Remember it."

And wherever Yuka is, one mysterious, inexplicable figure is always nearby—a monstrous man by the name of Gore Screaming Show.
Kyoji's encounter with these two figures marks the end of his peaceful days—as they bring chaos, violence, madness and despair into this world.

Will Kyoji and the girl he loves be able to escape the madness and return to their peaceful days? Or will they—

1) the steam censored version is, no exaggeration, about 5% of the actual content of the game. you MUST download and patch the directors cut to even enjoy the story. the fact that steam brazenly sells what is maybe 4 hours worth of a visual novel for thirty dollars is actual insanity (however, the patch is free. google it) 2) this is not the sort of game you can recommend to people you know irl 2.5) i still recommend this game to people if you think youre the kind of person who can handle...very extreme...horror. while the h scenes arent super frequent, theyre gratuitous and last far too long, beyond the scope of serving a horror narrative. outside of that, the characters (besides kyoji, who is a juvenile aggressive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the time) are enjoyable and the mystery/story is compelling enough. the horror scenes take time to build and have a good payoff imo 3) if youre also running into the problem with the game lagging after an hour of having it open, simply run the .exe as administrator to fix it 4) aoi best girl

A horror classic from 2006 that is pretty good even these days. It might not impress you that much since some ideas aren't that fresh anymore. But it's still a strong work that is pleasant to read. Even at the weakest moments, the story was still interesting enough to keep me motivated to read more.

I picked this up because I was looking for a genuinely disturbing horror visual novel, but it ended up being something completely different from what I expected. The game has some creepy visuals and a few scenes that are genuinely unsettling, which made me think I was in for a memorable horror experience. Unfortunately, those moments are constantly interrupted by long stretches of explicit sexual content. Instead of making the game feel darker or more disturbing, it just broke the pacing and made it difficult for me to take the story seriously. What disappointed me the most is that it feels like the horror takes a back seat. Every time the mystery started pulling me in, it was interrupted by another unnecessary adult scene. By the end, I wasn't invested in the story anymore. This game just forces you to an unavoidable path full of loli kinda? pxrn, and ofc i downloaded the 18+ patch because i bought the game for 20 euros and didnt want to miss out the gore etc. but you can barely see any its just full of sexuality. I don't mind mature themes but here they felt distracted from what could have been the game's strongest aspects. They could've used the characters Gore and Yuka so we…
