i enjoyed like 70% of my time in this game, but there is pretty much no reason i would ever recommend this to anybody weird age gap in one of the relationships + after 24 hours of story the ending is just completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and makes you feel like it was all just a waste of time1 found this helpful
I have gone through the second big loop and the game has been very enjoyable thus far. It's a very slow read, and if killing games like danganronpa had teached me anything, is not to expect a grandiose reason as to why things are happening, but enjoy the process of deduction and exploring how the characters face the unknown and unveil a mystery. I'm not a writer or someone that's gonna sit here and pretend I can give you a proper analysis of the game's writing. I haven't finished it yet but I can tell the reason why the looping is happening to our dear protagonist is coming close. And before I scream PEAK or disappoint myself with the ending, if you're interested on the premise the store page gives you, give it a go, but beware, the game really takes its time and tends to explain some things a bit too much, because our protagonist is the very logical kind of person, and we get to listen to very single one of his nerd thoughts. Hell, the very tutorial tells you to take your time reading it. I advice you don't question why he is looping, because there are clearly bigger forces at play and I don't even expect the protagonist to really be capable of doing anything about it. If you're…
The story has a bunch of twists, loved it. Lots of details and setup, and everything is tied together at the end. After getting to the ending, there's the extra option to see what different characters were thinking during crucial story moments (and it's even possible to skip the regular story bits to get to these extra ones immediately). That was so good, I really wish all visual novels had something like that.
this was one of my first VNs and i enjoyed it a lot, all the characters have a charm to them however the way they tried to explain everything at the end didn't really make sense to me and i wasn't the biggest fan of the ending. Overall tho i had a good time so i still recommend giving it a try when its on sale.
As other reviews have pointed out, the game is very linear. There are multiple 'endings', but you will do them in a predefined order. The story is interesting and engaging for the most part. The ending isn't as bad as people make it out to be. That said, you may have to suspend your disbelief a little bit. I wouldn't say to get this game at full price, but right now the sale price at $12 is worth IMO Nosato might just be my favorite character besides Haruaki. Wish he could've had a whole route like that one review said XD
Imagine you go out on a date with someone and you're getting along well at the meal. At some point during that during that meal, you go to the bathroom for a moment only to find out later that your date has left the building. Instead, on the table, you see a note that says "F*** Y** LOSER. PAY FOR THE MEAL YOURSELF." This is exactly how I felt after finishing this VN (that is, I was the LOSER). No joke - it starts off really well. We're introduced into a weird village will all sorts of esoteric religious beliefs and rituals. As you get drawn into this village with its weird inhabitants, you're introduced to the idea of taking part in a "Feast" related to those religious beliefs. These "Feasts" are just an excuse to play extended games of Werewolf, but they work because it centers around mind games and psychological manipulation. They're so good in places that it's easy to lose track of time watching what happens. There are promises of a much deeper mystery at work here as well. Then you get to the final part and the writers just kind of...stopped caring. Or, they just gave up. They even have lines in the writing featuring characters wondering about how absurd it all soun…
