PAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNN.
Usually, I would not accept a game like this for a review, but since it was the very first offer for my new curator, I could not refuse—what if it was some hidden gem, after all? Sure, its cheap visuals are not exactly charming, but looks are deceiving at times. That was not the case here, though. At its core, it is a simple 2D platformer in which you control a lovely ghost, who has to swiftly move to the end of the level, avoiding all the deadly obstacles in its way. What an innovative experience, right? Yet, having simple gameplay would not be an issue per se if it would be enjoyable and designed well. However, that is (yet again!) not the case here. Apart from getting to the end of the map without dying, you also have to collect shiny gems. Not to get a higher score with which you could boast about to your friends, no. You have to do so to unlock more levels. However, this concept was apparently way too primitive, so the developer(s) decided that in order to progress further, you have to unlock both regular and “hardcore” variants of each mission. Thus, if you want to play level four, you need to unlock both versions …

I went in with an optimistic mindset, and man was it dashed into pieces. This feels like the kind of game you might download on your phone while you're waiting for the toast in your toaster to reach the right amount of burn. It's a runner game, through relatively short levels filled with obstacles. You're a ghost, so timing your jumps is a bit problematic as it's a little frustrating determining exactly what portion of your body is going to be the best jumping off point. Avoid obstacles, such as spikes, because they'll either kill you or slow you down depending on how many lives you have. Extra lives can be picked up in levels, and you'll start over with a handful of lives after you extinguish what you had. And then.. There's the method of progressing to the next levels. You have to earn enough gems by playing the levels so you can buy the next levels. The problem here? The levels aren't interesting or enjoyable enough to replay them, which you'll have to do to earn the gems..

Only bought this for my achievement showcase, just for it to not be accessible due to: ⓘ Profile Features Limited (?) I did try a little bit of the game though and it was mediocre at best. Overall, Would've been a 👍 if the achievements worked and I didn't spend money on something of no use to me. Unfortunately a 👎 though, because I spent money on something of no use to me.
