Gun on the Chickahominy (GotC) is a casual pixel target game set during the American War Between the States. Players take command of a small cannon crew situated on the banks of the Chickahominy River and attempt to stem the Federal invasion of Virginia. The game offers colorful retro graphics, casual yet compelling gameplay, and reimagined period music.

A super fun game that's perfect for a lazy afternoon and itching your 8-bit game needs. Very satisfying to progress through the Super Mario World looking map, the challenge increases and it's always fair. A little short, but it left me wanting more.2 found this helpful
I am not really a huge Civil War enthusiast, but I will give it a try. 30 minutes later: "DARN YANKEES!!!" It's a lightweight game, easy to pick up and play casually, but some levels are surprisingly challenging, and will require the player to become familiar with the one-shot abilities and use them strategically. I think the main strength of this game lies in its charming tidbits, like the adorable little cutscenes featuring the pixel graphic characters. It's a humble game, but still a pleasant and unpretentious experience.
