Bite-sized levels and cute presentation. Enjoyed my time with this on Steam Deck. Achievements could potentially add some replay value, but was some quick and good fun.2 found this helpful
Gwen The Hen 64 is a compact retro 3D platformer that clearly draws inspiration from the golden era of Nintendo 64 collectathons, distilling that design philosophy into a short but carefully crafted experience. Developed and published by kurigamedev, the game follows Gwen, a determined scientist chicken on a quirky mission to assemble the parts needed for an invention that can generate unlimited chocolate. very fun and cute game :) last level was actually very satisfying to play as a challenge level1 found this helpful
better than all the triple a games shown at summer game fest
68/100: Probably worth its price. I don't know the total duration of the game yet, though. +++ aesthetics, gameplay, loot mechanism are great ++ variety in quests and levels and characters is enough for me + story, dialog, and hints are good = QoL is decent - almost no settings -- short music loop (it changes at each level) -- a rare display bug when you're too close to some walls
get it on the cheep and you'll have a cluckin' good time flapping around this game like a manic birdbrain music's good as well.
