About Half Hour Hexagon

Half Hour Hexagon is a minimalist survival game with roguelite elements where you must defeat waves of enemies in an endless map in order to reach the 30 minute mark. Spend cash earned during runs and complete achievements to unlock permanent weapons, abilities, and stat bonuses for future runs and master the art of the Hexagon.

Use cash earned during gameplay to buy permanent Upgrades. Some of these Upgrades can have negative effects, but they reveal Upgrades with much more powerful effects later in the tree.

There are 5 additional weapon types to unlock by defeating certain enemies across multiple runs. Try to overcome each milestone as you work towards new equipment.

There are 13 different items to unlock on top of the 5 that start in your item pool. These are additional milestones for you to work towards and assist you in making it further and further.

Finally, you can see a full list of all the enemies you've encountered and view their stats (alongside a brief description)

Half Hour Hexagon is a tight, minimalist arcade experience that understands exactly what it wants to be and never overstays its welcome. The simple visuals hide a surprisingly intense challenge, where dodging, pattern recognition, and quick reactions are constantly tested as the difficulty ramps up. What really works here is the pacing short sessions that are perfect for quick bursts, but addictive enough to keep you saying “one more run.” The soundtrack and clean presentation complement the gameplay nicely, keeping you focused without distraction.15 found this helpful
This game IS fun, however I do think there's a glaring flaw with the gameplay loop... If you aren't given good upgrades, (3 options are chosen at random per level up, and you get to pick one) you will end up dying quickly when the map closes in and enemies swarm you. My play session should not be left up purely to luck, if you can't get an upgrade to increase your damage output, you're screwed. Some enemies become pretty bullet spongey and it becomes exhausting to play through this game for more than 10 minutes.2 found this helpful
It's pretty neat- and I'll definitely play more- but the font is incredibly difficult to read which makes it hard to recommend to anyone with vision impairments or dyslexia my eyes hurt a bit :/

the hexagon is the bestagon fun game all jokes aside
This game is so stupid. It crashes right before you get the last achievement (most of the time)
