About Hellboy Web of Wyrd

Developed by Upstream Arcade, Hellboy Web of Wyrd utilizes an art style faithful to Mike Mignola’s original masterpieces. Like in the comics, the game sends Hellboy on a series of vastly different and wholly-unique adventures; and while each story stands on its own, they are all tied to the mysterious legacy of The Butterfly House.
Built in 1962 by occultist Pasquale Deneveaux, The Butterfly House is more than a mere residence; it’s a gateway. Built upon occult ley-energies, its strange angles and non-Euclidean geometries were designed with a singular foul purpose in mind: to open doorways into a terrible and fascinating dimension called The Wyrd.
Go toe-to-toe (or hoof-to-hoof) with a menagerie of nightmarish creatures and homunculi as you explore the realms within the Wyrd. Combat has been engineered to create challenging encounters that encourage you to learn patterns, dodge, parry, and - of course - punch your enemies into oblivion. What Steam players say

Just as janky and just as fun as their previous game, West of Dead, for what it's worth. Reminded me of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. It's fun. RIP Lance Reddick.
This game does a LOT right. It looks incredible, voice acting is top shelf. However, I shouldn't be drawing the comparison to the Robocop game that came out recently, but Robocop moves like he's in Jet Set Radio compared to Hellboy. He's so slow and backtracking feels like a chore. I think "feels like a chore" should be the summary of this game. Not mad, disappointed.
I highly recommend Hellboy Web of Wyrd to any fan of the comics. It features fantastic, comic-accurate visuals and offers a deeply satisfying, rogue-like experience that truly captures the dark, punchy essence of the series. I'd easily give it an 8/10. I WANT MORE!!
Hell yeah
creative i wish the mouths would move and the voice for hellboy takes a bit to get used too
If you are a Hellboy fan looking for a fun action game and/or like roguelikes, this game will be right up your alley! The gameplay for the most part is rather simple, the comic book art style plus the story feel make it feel like it was pulled straight from the comics, and this game has a good bit of replayability after you finish it. This was my first foray into roguelikes and while I'm not sure the genre is for me, I had a great time playing this game. At $25, I think the game is worth considering, but it can also be had for $10 when it goes on sale and at that price, definitely grab it!
