About Hive and Seek
Hive and Seek is a side-scrolling strategy base-building game where you clear space stations infested with monsters. By rallying robots and clearing rooms from all kinds of danger, you will be able to destroy hives and recapture the station piece by piece.
Story: A number of stations under your supervision got infected with a strange space monster and you lost contact with the crew, your mission is to get back to the station and reclaim it by destroying every monster hive.
Explore the room and Salvage resources from the ruins of your station.
Build your defenses and Repair your buildings to recapture the station.
Construct, Rally, and Deploy your army of robots to fend off monster waves.
Locate and hunt down monster hives to finally rid the station of their control.

Hive and Seek is a tense and rewarding mix of strategy and roguelike exploration. Clearing out monster-infested stations room by room feels exciting, and the base-building mechanics keep every run fresh. Tower defence resource management puzzle. Work out the balance between defence and resource-gathering, complicated by different paths and tricky choices on later levels. One annoying bug, but nothing game-breaking. No save either, which is murder on the last level. Just 5 levels atm but the last one will keep you busy for a while. I wanted to like this game. It is right up my alley as Tower Defense, 2D, and similar to the Kingdom series games. But this game is very tedious; it is a micro-managing hell. It would have made sense if this came out before, not after Kingdom, since it is so far behind in quality of game design. - Too many different buildings are complicating base progression in uninspiring ways - Base expands too far in all directions. - Bots have no Intelligence; everything has to be done manually across an expanding map. - Game forces you to expand into both directions, but bots idle after a single, smallest task if they are on the other side of the map until you go grab them. It's ridiculous. - Good music, please? - No sense of exploration
Buggy game but good idea. Units bypass defense for no reason. If your building is blown up you cannot make units at it anymore. Maybe they will patch it some day but for now it is frustrating.
