About Holy Heroes
Holy Heroes is a cooperative game for one to four players, sharing the same screen on a single computer via keyboard and controllers (type PS4, Xbox and generics). Players can choose from 9 distinct hero classes (Knight, Dwarf, Barbarian, Wizard, Cleric, Ninja, Necromancer, Paladin, and Archer) to explore diverse floors and biomes in pursuit of main or side missions. The game features 9 spheres of power (Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Life, Death, Magic, Mind, and Nature) that influence monsters, enchantments, and enhancements, along with a variety of items to equip and use.
In addition to multiple floors to explore with increasing difficulty, the game includes traps, weather changes, portals, guardians, lever systems, and other elements that constantly demand players' attention, keeping them engaged.
• Explore procedurally generated worlds, always different.
• Acquire weapons, armor, shields, accessories, and more.
• Discover your strategy by freely choosing your spells.
• Forge and reforge items to always be prepared for any adversity.
• Learn special skills and acquire professions.
• Complete side quests while exploring the main mission's labyrinths.
• Experience day and night cycles, facing storms, fogs, and other challenges.
• Avoid traps and discover secret passages.
• Upon leveling up, enhance your heroes by deciding where to allocate points.
• Navigate through over twenty floors with various branches and biomes.
• Each floor may contain multiple levels.
• Encounter diverse monsters per biome and floor, with many creatures to discover in each unique world.
• Play alone or with up to 3 friends by your side.
• Share gold and experience with your group, if desired.
• Configure quick actions with up to 6 game commands.
• Become a Sacred Hero!
• For a challenging experience, we recommend Nightmare mode.
• Be careful, as playing with only one life is fatal!

*Very* cool 'Action' RPG, in the vein of something like early Ys where you 'bump' into enemies to do damage to them, or you can cast spells or use a bow etc. as well. Really sweet stuff with a TON of RPG depth here, don't let the pixelated graphics fool u, quite a bit of stats and tabletop-style interactions are happening behind the scenes here that impress! One of my favorite finds from 2024, for sure. The dev(s) also are listening and will include some of your suggestions as well if it's something that works for the game. Very interesting title and playable for solo RPG fans like myself. Don't sleep on this one! :)7 found this helpful
For better or worse, it recreates the experience of early nes, snes, genesis or pc games where you have to figure everything out by yourself back when gaming was in the early days. There is a tutorial movie so you get some sort of idea of what you are supposed to be doing but many things such as what stats contributes to what are not made clear to the player. You'd think "RTFM" (read the f manual) but there isn't one. The game at its core is meant for multiplayer but it is playable in single player and if you are feeling adventurous, you can play 4 characters at once. You damage enemies by bumping into them or throwing projectiles at them, depending on your character class. There is no natural healing so you need to go back to the entry point whenever you want to heal which can also add to the challenge sometimes because doors are exactly as wide as your character and game is not grid based. Using doors has elements of pixel tetris in it. According to the dev, this game will be a long term project with changes over time. The game is complete but will be expanded upon. Get in if you want to spend a few dollars to play a living game or try the demo to experience what old school g…3 found this helpful
