The solo Developer that made DunHero should be very pleased with themselves. This game is excellent and although there are definitely bugs, this was a wild ride. I am going to hang about and collect the rest of the character classes, but I have enjoyed every minute spent playing DunHero. There are 31 classes presently in game and each of them offer a different experience. I greatly enjoyed the roguelite upgrades throughout each run. Each playthrough is effectively like a campaign in a dungeon crawler and that's really impressive. There are loads of different weapons to use and a wealth of equipment to build up powerful effects within builds. The combat isn't groundbreaking, but is well refined in its simplicity. This is one I'm going to throw my kids at when they're ready. If there were some more depth to the endgame; synergies, items that extend reach or change the way weapon attacks behave, this would be the best game I've played all year in this genre. I'm eager to try whatever this dev has to offer though. If you're into this genre, don't walk, run. This is worth your time.
finally playing this after 1.0 - perfection
Fun survivors-like roguelite mash up with bullet hells. Lots of variety with some single developer janky charm. Still a bunch of bugs around, which stopped me from playing further. Most egregiously, once you beat the game, there's no way to get past the ending screen with the "Play Again" button. It literally doesn't work, so you have to force close the game. It was fun until I got to that bug, though, hence the positive review.
If you enjoy Tiny Rogues, you'll love this. Very satisfying gameplay, albeit some imperfections and bugs that only really impact when you go for the Nightmare mode for the final achievement. Definitely read into the karma stat as it is essential to utilise it to further your runs at first. I went through several runs not killing any people before realising I was nerfing myself!
nice
Go to the source and get Tiny Rogues instead :) Initially good, but the game lacks polishing. Unlocking characters does not work even after fulfilling the requirement multiple times. If you "save" your run and want to get back to it later, you will notice that you have lost some of your stats. I'm guessing that all buffs applied by consumables are lost but not sure, still very demoralizing to return to the run and getting your ass handed to you. Fun for a short while but that's it. You should however get bang for your buck if you follow 1€/1h ratio and buy this from a sale.
