About Heroes of Hammerwatch
Battle through procedurally generated levels filled with enemies, traps, and loot as you climb the Forsaken Spire in this rogue-lite where your heroes and town upgrades persist between runs. Choose from seven unique classes, discover over 100 items, and tackle endless challenges solo or with up to three friends in co-op.
A rogue-lite with a lot of persistent progression. You will start each run in Outlook, a town which you can upgrade to grant your heroes with various enhancements that will further help you in your quest. The heroes themselves will also remain persistent, you can even bring your own heroes to your friends game!

- Procedurally generated content: Random generated levels offers a high replay value and will bring you a new challenge with each run.
- Persistant progression: Your heroes will retain the experience gained from a run, and will become more powerful as they level up.

Great run-based dungeon crawler rpg. Pretty decent for solo play but clearly designed with multiplayer in mind. TL;DR: Heroes of Hammerwatch strikes an excellent balance between the RNG factor of a typical roguelite, the progression of an rpg, and the game knowledge and skill factors of a good action game. Combat feels good and there is good variety in playstyles and enemy types. Easy to pick up, but high skill ceiling. Visuals and atmosphere are really good. Music and sound design are okay. Progression is fun and feels meaningful; enemies don't scale in power as you do like in some rpgs. Instead they give way to different, more difficult types of enemies as you ascend the floors of the Forsaken Tower. You feel appropriately powerful against weaker enemies as you level up and buy permanent upgrades, but elite enemies can still evsicerate you. However the items you find during a run, in addition to your game knowledge and reflexes allow you to punch far above your weight. There is good variety in classes, each serving a distinct playstyle or niche, and they all feel good to play. Honestly a really great game, played it for a while on other devices as well and it's still just as fun here. Multiple character classes, 9 I think. lots of replayability, NG+ etc. Well worth the price.
This 'game' is an endless cycle of selling your life to farm two, boring currencies. I thought that mods would maybe save the game; However, after the mind-numbing grind you have to endure, there is simply no content. Boring ass experience and a stain on the roguelike genre.
not a bad dungeon crawler, bit grindy until you can afford gear, or claim positive status effects
