HoPiKo, developed and published by Laser Dog, is a fast-paced, precision-driven platformer that tests both reflexes and timing, offering an intense experience for players who thrive on challenge. Released on Steam, the game combines retro-inspired visuals, addictive gameplay mechanics, and a high-energy soundtrack to create a memorable action platforming experience that appeals to fans of both classic and modern arcade games. Its focus on speed, skill, and perfect execution makes it a standout title for those who enjoy mastering challenging levels. The premise of HoPiKo is delightfully quirky and serves as a fun backdrop for the fast-paced action. A virus called Nanobyte has invaded gaming systems worldwide, rendering consoles and computers inoperable. The HoPiKo, tiny beings responsible for running games, have been captured and enslaved. Players assume the role of the last remaining HoPiKo, tasked with navigating increasingly complex levels to defeat the virus and save the other HoPiKo. Despite the controls being really awful on mouse, the game is VERY fun to play and pretty satisfying once you get used to it, it says that it's made for playing with a controller so maybe it's more enjoyable that way, I'm not a controller person so I'll blame it on myself. The music goes hard with the gameplay, had me the first hour dancing while playing (then I stopped because it gets a little bit complicated), really good music indeed. I haven't played all the levels like bonus or stuff, but in my opinion some levels are not balanced at all, like the first 3-4 stages in one level are REALLY easy and the last one is literal hell, and vice versa. At least that happened 5 times at most, so yeah, not thaaat bad. But I have to tell that levels are really quick, so even if you fail by accident or a bug, it won't be that important, because you will instantly try to beat it again and probably faster. The visual aspects are just fine, it fits perfectly to the retro arcade style gameplay. I also like how the game tries to throw new little changes to patterns and putting new ideas, so it doesn't get repetitive too quickly. It's the kind of game that's easy to pick up for a few minutes bu…

This game was and is fun. Just a simple, fast-pace, game. I remember playing this game a long time ago on my tablet and beating a few times over, I just like. Honestly deserves better as a small game and small team behind it <3
