Fantastic game. definitely less customization of your MC than most CYOA games, but the story is immensely compelling. The characters are deep, the dialogue well written, and the battle management is decent for the fact its a completely text based system. Definitely a must read.1 found this helpful
7/10 I read this book after "Whiskey Four", in search of more from the author. I don't regret buying it, even though I didn't enjoy it as much as I did "Whiskey Four". + In my opinion, "I, The Forgotten One" stands out in terms of quality and tone. The author is great at staging scenes of battle (I found myself thinking of KCDII battles while reading). There is a variety of complex characters, and it was interesting to see the different ways I could interact with them. The romantic interest for the gay MC, I thought, was the most well-written. The world felt believable even without too many descriptions. The lore was introduced gradually -- there were no massive dumps that other authors can't seem to resist. The MC has a certain personality and a past, which worked out for me personally. I have a soft spot for a "damaged warrior" type. - However, for me, this book has the same problems as "Whiskey Four". There are so many high-stakes situations that I found myself feeling rather indifferent in the second half of the book, when the energy was supposed to be rising. A bunch of nonsense written by artificial unintelligence. A complete mess. I only skimmed through the whole thing. I was hoping for War of Rights. It has no interaction at all, just like Sienkiewicz. TRASH STORY fight against 15000. omg
This game is not the best If ive played but it was definitely a good one, Its was kind of a slow burn but it pays off in the end. But by the time i really started to enjoy things it felt that the story was wrapping up. I'm not sure what other options there are for endings but i made my sister the queen and she's a damm fine one at that. I'm looking forward to book two of this game and maybe that one will be even better than the first. This game takes abit to get into but its worth the pay off. The best way to describe this game is just good. You get exactly what you would expect and i can defiantly enjoy that.
