"IKEV" is kind of a joke game riffing off Ikea furniture in VR. Like "Surgeon Simulator", the objective is to wrestly with deliberately bad controls to assemble furniture. Is this a fun idea? No. You know the old saying, if the only good thing about your game is VR, that just means VR is cool, not your game. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. It's good but VERY buggy. stuff kept glitching into the floor, I would fly into the abyss and the grabbing would randomly stop working. Other then that it's a good game. :)1 found this helpful
you can improvise furniture assembly and look at pretty vfx :331 found this helpful
Very cute game, who doesn't love putting together an IKEA set, but instead of having to go out and buy one you can mess around for free!!! Very responsive, good graphics, whats not to like, would for sure recommend!
A nice relaxing game for an evening. Let your little brother play it and watch his reaction, it's hilarious
I like the idea of the game and I would have wished for it getting improved. That's why I keep it and check back once in a while. But even through there are improvements here and there, it still happens that pieces are falling through the floor or can't be grabbed anymore, so you have to start over again. I know that for a free game the expectations should not be that high and I appreciate the efforts spend, but sadly it does not spark joy for me in the current state.
