"Indentured Servant" is a badly made VR exclusive Unity asset flip made for a "game jam", which means it's unprofessional/unpolished trash. Yes, game jams are there to help indie developers who can't get a game development job feel good about themselves, but these little tech demos just pollute Steam and make it harder for genuinely made indie products to find an audience because they have to compete with all this valueless game jam proof of concept stuff. This game jam tech demo has you looking at dead fish, in VR. It was made as a VR game because, well, the developer failed to understand the basic axiom of VR gaming... if the only thing cool about your game is VR support, your game is not cool. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money aft…

This game is awful & bad, but it's good. I never want to play it again it was that good. What a bad time. But also a good time. Uncomfortable definitely.

Suprisingly fun for such a simple concept. Only flaw is that you can't beat the game and pay off your debt, which I know is the main message, but I feel like the idea of being able to finally get out of debt would add at least another hour or two of gameplay. 7/10 would pick up the fish again.

Несмотря на некоторую монотонность в начале, игра раскрывается постепенно, предлагая глубокую сюжетную линию и запоминающихся героев. 'Indentured Servant' — это не просто симулятор жизни, это настоящее испытание на прочность, которое заставит вас задуматься о многих вещах.
