Infinity War Land presents some creative concepts for the bullet heaven genre and offers genuine challenge, but is held back by a clearly unfinished engine with critical issues including broken resolution settings, non-functional gamepad support, and flawed movement mechanics that only work properly diagonally. The severely limited upgrades and punishing difficulty make runs frustrating rather than fun, and the core gameplay fails to distinguish itself from existing Vampire Survivors clones in meaningful ways.
There's a couple interesting ideas for the bullet heaven genre in Infinity War Land, and it's certainly one of the more challenging titles of the bunch. Unfortunately, the game's custom engine is nowhere near ready for a public release. The in-game resolution is busted on my rig and can not seem to be changed. Tons of options are missing. Gamepad doesn't seem to work and keyboard controls are borked, with only diagonal directions being fast enough to outrun enemies because for some reason you move slower when running left, right, up or down. With barely any health and not much in terms of upgrades or unlocks, it's too easy to die and frankly too damn hard to have fun right now. And even runs that go moderately well, it's a fairly standard Vampire Survivors clone with not much to add aside from ton of treasure chests lying across. Definitely can't recommend it at this point.
