[h1]It's Not Bullet Hell, But Just Hell[/h1] You can clearly see that the developer put a lot of effort into this game. There are lots of mechanics, lots of weapons, lots of upgrades, lots of enemies... just lots of stuff. But sadly, the more you play, the more you realize that very few of those mechanics feel fully finished. [h2]Characters and Builds[/h2] Let's start with characters and builds. The game gives you a few characters to choose from, but there isn't really a big difference between them. Their base stats don't seem to matter much, and the special abilities each character has aren't particularly useful either, since you can usually use them maybe once per boss fight. What actually matters when choosing a character is their starting weapon. Why? Because whatever weapon your character starts with, most of the ammo you find will be for that weapon. So even though the game has lots of weapons to choose from, where is the build variety? What's the point of picking a different weapon if you can't reliably find ammo for it? [h2]Speaking of Ammo...[/h2] Where are my bullets? Weapons run out of ammo [i]very[/i] quickly. This is one of the main reasons I call this game …

[h1]A Nuclear Throne like?[/h1] In many ways yes Like Nuclear Throne, REPLIKATOR is offering Twin-stick, action RPG running and gunning through a brutal landscape, (though here it’s mostly scifi tech dungeons, as opposed to irradiated wastelands). Like Nuclear Throne, these death pits are made with Procedural Generation, helping to insure that each run feels fresh and interesting, as opposed to overly predictable, which is not great. The enemies you waste drop ammo, and sometimes hp too, like in Nuclear Throne, and they can take damage from the many environmental hazards around, like mines, or the 3 types of explosive barrels (because 1 was not enough) fun. Also, like Nuclear Throne, REPLIKATOR tracks your ammo, though the ammo drops are far more generous here, and generally, has fast combat, with a fast time to kill for its many foes. Way more fun than I expected. Such a low number of reviews might have you thinking this game isn’t that good or worth your time, but Steam is just a saturated market. This is a very good game that has gone overlooked. What I find funny is even the first negative review I seen states “core game is very good”. This roguelike charmed me with a good loop and good gunplay. Bring a roguelike liker this game is right up my alley. If you are looking for a quality game to add to your backlog or to support a small dev or a game to play right away this game is a perfect match. And even more so on sale. Fabulous and worth every penny. I thought the progression unlocking was tuned nicely. I enjoyed the guns, powerups, and overall mechanics. The map was easy to use and you get 2 teleporter pods you can drop and pickup, so running around and exploring is very nice with good QoL. Enemy variety is nice, good enemy patterns. Music and audio is well done and worth keeping on, was nice and just the right amount of "intense" while still being chill enough to listen to at length. Ability to save/quit any time mid-run. I just liked it a lot, and I'm kinda sad I finished it. It wouldn't have taken me 20 hours but I played on the harder settings for a while but ultimately found out that wasn't as much fun as regular mode. It's a good game. I'm very pleased.
