About Irradiant
Irradiant is a minimal 2D, score-attack action game where you're faced with destroying mischievous spirits bewitching a shrine as fast as possible. You'll need to thread the needle on precision movement, button mashing and careful use of soul charges - your resource for unleashing devastation screen-wide slashes. Do you play safely at the cost of score? Or push your skills to the limit to shave off precious seconds? Your achievements can be viewed by all, with the online leaderboard. Replay your best run or watch others to see what techniques they use.

- Highly responsive controls, it's up to you to master your abilities to obtain the best score you can.
- Time ticks away, hesitation will only hurt you.
- Light attacks are as quick as your fingers and give you air time.
- Heavy attacks have a cooldown but deal extra damage and fling you upwards.
- Collect soul charges to unleash a powerful slash attack, but beware: enemies you kill with it won't reward you with more soul charges.
- Use the environment to your advantage with wall jumps and dashes to speed towards enemies as they appear.
- Compete for the top of the leaderboard, where every second counts.
- Watch replays of leaderboard scores to discover new techniques.
- Custom engine with minimal hardware requirements.

Irradiant is a game that can be perfectly summed up as a game with a good concept, but poor execution. This game has really good potential assuming it fixes the issues that are presented in this game. There are numerous things that I noticed that were absolutely horrible to deal with while playing the game that I believe needs to be changed, and just in case the developer of the game reads this, I'll list a few of the more notable ones as a means to help improve the game. First off, the steam achievements are way ridiculously difficult. I mean, they are absolutely some of the most difficult achievements I've seen. Don't be fooled by the percentages on the achievements, because nearly all players who have these achievements used some method of cheating to get them. For example, the 700 score achievement. This achievement is said to have been achieved by around 7% of players as the time I'm writing this, but if you look on the leader boards, only 2 players have even achieved this score. Only 2 people out of hundreds if not thousands of people achieved this legitimately. The steam achievements desperately need to be toned down by a large margin. Fun, but too tricky for me =P
Very good game , i recommend
Neat little game, fast and fluid with nice Sprite animations. Bit too difficult for me but I will keep playing in short bursts as I was improving a little on each run. For a free game made by one developer though you can't go wrong. Hard recommend!
