One day, while tracing old folklore, I heard an intriguing rumor.“On the outskirts of the Higashiyama region, in the village of Mikagura, there is said to be a shrine maiden possessed by an evil spirit.”It sounded like a ridiculous story, but I decided to go to the village to find out if it was true.Mikagura Village—A remote mountain village not even properly marked on maps.Cell phone signals were intermittent, and the village was shrouded in a silence that felt as though time had stopped.Without any guidance, I arrived at a dilapidated shrine on the outskirts of the village.Deep within the shrine, which had not been maintained for years, beyond a door sealed shut like a seal—I encountered a shrine maiden.About this game• This is a choice-based adventure game where you perform an exorcism on a shrine maiden possessed by an evil spirit through torture.• Players use options such as dumplings, whips, and nails to attack the evil spirit. If the attack hits the evil spirit, its HP decreases; if it hits the shrine maiden, her HP decreases.• The game is cleared when the demon's HP reaches 0. If the shrine maiden's HP reaches 0, the game ends. • As days pass, the demon's HP increases.

Investigating a paranormal rumor in a remote village, you find a priestess possessed by a demon that can only be driven out by pain. However, you must only torture the demon when it's surfaced, lest you hurt the priestess. Shove dango in her mouth to heal her if she's present! You must take into account her facial expressions and dialogue to figure out if the demon on the surface or not. There's still an element of luck, but each round is only a max of 10 turns with 5 nights total (it's an indie horror game, of course it's 5 nights~). I didn't have much trouble reaching the end, so it's definitely doable if you pay attention. The questions and riddles are a nice touch as well to give an element of narration to the demon. The later timed ones were rough to read in time outside my native language, but a few lucky guesses (and the order not changing for repeats) helped~ Only won the final night due to a last turn easy question! The art and atmosphere are very nice, enjoyed this short game! I never used the whip, though I suppose if you're unsure, it would do less damage to the priestess. But by night 5, you're barely able to kill the spirit in time, so you have to really nail it~ I…
