About Touhou Erosion ~ The Fallen Shrine Maiden of Paradise

"The prayers have ended. The purification begins."

A mysterious abyss has begun to consume the once-peaceful Gensokyo. The maidens have fallen into madness, their instincts and magic distorted by the Erosion. As the last beacon of hope, you must suppress the corrupted girls and reclaim the pure light within them.Key Features:
 • Corrupted Paradise Survivor: Experience a new level of action combining traditional Danmaku—featuring countless projectiles—with roguelite survival progression.
 • Diverse Corrupted Bosses: Face various bosses spiraling out of control due to the Erosion. Learn and adapt to each boss's unique bullet patterns.
 • Tactical Armor Break: Brute force isn't enough. Pressure the bosses to trigger a 3-stage 'Armor Break' and seize the chance for purification.
 • Absorb and Reflect: Use the 'Dimensional Barrier' to convert enemy bullets into magical energy. Release the absorbed energy to wipe out the eroders across the screen.

Hey, I've heard this game from Reddit for full of AI Slop, so yknow, im not that type of guy to purchase an AI game. I get that funding and resource is quite a problem too. But let's cut to the chase! Updated: My first 15 mins review is harsh and quick assumption, so I bought the game again with the intends to try to beat it completely before giving a honest review. Final update: I've completed the game, and the ending, therefore Im not gonna change my review after this. Good! - This game is your casual RPG, you collect stuff to gain level, choose a spell, and pretty much, survive until the mini boss, main boss came, after that you win! - Upgrade tabs(the outside one, not the spell card), actually useful and very overpowered, you will need it to cheese battle (just focus on multi-spell shoot and damage and cooldown and ur good) Bad! - Introduction to the game felt rushed, its all started with reimu releasing her inner demon, and then corrupting everyone, her job is mainly to solve the incident by her own, which happen in the lake, the forest, the mansion, the garden, and the hakurei shrine, all rushed, with mini boss, boss barely like 2 to 3 lines of introduction before getting…

[後半に日本語レビューあり]
Purify the Erosion-Fallen Gensokyo: Touhou VS-like Bullet Hell Action
A Touhou Project fan-work VS-like bullet hell action where the player purifies the maidens of Gensokyo, turned into predators by the invading "Erosion." The premise of familiar characters—Cirno, Patchouli, and Youmu among them—standing in the way as "Erosion Forms" will likely resonate with Touhou fans. VS-like auto-attack and level-up spell selection form the core, but three unique mechanics set it apart. "Armor Break (3-stage)" chips away at bosses to open purification windows; the "Dimensional Barrier" absorbs bullet hell fire and releases it as a screen-clearing burst (equivalent to the Touhou "bomb"). "Erosion Transformation" is an active burst mechanic that clearly differentiates this from standard VS-like clones. The progression curve that builds strength with each run is a welcome touch. The visuals are a mix of high and low points. The boss portraits on the stage select screen are polished dark fantasy anime compositions that strongly convey the atmosphere of a Gensokyo under the Erosion's grip. The chibi sprites and UI elements during gameplay are comparatively rough, and overa…

Sometimes you browse the Newest Releases on Steam and end up finding a gem amongst the AI slop and the copy and paste asset flips. This is unfortunately not one of those times. So where do I even begin with this one? Touhou Erosion is, for lack of better phrasing, an uninspired Touhou Project fangame in which everyone's favorite sociopathic shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei bungles up by deciding, in her infinite wisdom, that she should bottle up her emotions, and all of Gensoyko inevitably suffers from her arrogance as a result. Now she has to save four of her "friends" (who she is not even remotely friends with canonically) before ultimately facing a manifestation of herself at the Hakurei Shrine to become whole again. Once you get past the bland, robotic UI that you've likely seen in countless cheap mobile games, you're treated to a mediocre Vampire Survivors clone with jittery animations, assets that don't look like they're from the same game, OCs as minibosses in place of what could have been actual characters from the franchise (with the SINGLE exception being Youki, and even then, he's never had official artwork made and has only been alluded to in fan media), and m…

For me, this is one of the better Vampire Survivors style games I’ve played recently. The Positives: It's a Touhou fan game, so that is automatically a huge plus in my book. I really love the darker aesthetic, especially the dark versions of the characters. It is not often that you get those Grimsokyo vibes from a Touhou game. I honestly wish we had more stuff like this. The gameplay is not perfect, but I had so far a good time with it. Transforming into "Dark Reimu" felt quiet satisfying. The Negatives: I would have liked to see a bit more variety. That goes for the skills, the stages, and especially more playable characters, including their dark versions, of course. I seriously need a "Dark Satori" in my life. Conclusion: It's not perfect, but for a €6 game, it is a good package.
