RETURN TO CHILDHOOD
1. Jamie's Toy Box and its mechanics are heavily inspired by toys and child-like imagination.
2. In order to fully utilize the advantages of VR, surreal elements play an important role in the game, some are not obvious at first glance. For example, clicking the light switch causes a change to nighttime, following the roof's opening, revealing a view at the night sky.
3. The game tries to capture the innocence and creativity of children, as well as the imaginary world they create for themselves so that adult players can once again experience the aw that can come from interactions with toys.

4. The game takes place in one playroom jam-packed with fun toys and interactive buttons. All of them offer unique gameplay mechanics.
5. The player is not strictly limited by real-life physics and has access to a diverse set of toys when building structures. This allows for more abstract and artistic construction.

Jamie's Toy Box is a Free to play VR sandbox game. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played no, sounded ok. Has a tutorial mode. Has an audio intro in the lobby, was able to play that since it was a push button. The audio intro said this game is for HTC Vive. CONS: The bindings for Index don't work to trigger the UI in the lobby, i even tried editing the bindings, no go. Maybe try this game for free, if you have a HTC Vive.2 found this helpful
"Jamie's Toy Box" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Jamie's Toy Box" is a simple VR tech demo application, providing a simple sandbox of VR interactions... at best this is a godawfully badly made Fischer-Price activity centre for toddlers. Put your VR hat on, and if it works (the developer didn't bother testing this on most VR headsets), you can wave your arms around to turn on and off some switches. There's no goal, this is shallower than a sandbox. The comical part is the developer seriously tried charging money for this garbage. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. It works but there's no height change. Everything is on the floor so it's basically forcing you get get down on your knees. I would have to use OVR Advanced Setup in order to offset the height to even play this game.
There's almost nothing here.
