Toy Tinker Simulator: BETA developed by Turquoise Revival Games and published by GrabTheGames and WhisperGames is a compact but clearly defined simulation experience that centers on the meticulous process of restoring worn-out toys. Framed as a beta version, it functions less like a full-fledged game and more like a hands-on preview of a concept built around careful interaction and incremental transformation. The premise is straightforward yet appealing: take broken, dirty, or incomplete toys and bring them back to life through a series of step-by-step repairs. While simple in theory, the execution leans heavily into tactile engagement, giving players a sense of involvement in every stage of the restoration process. The gameplay loop is deliberately methodical. Each toy arrives in a damaged state, and the player must disassemble it, clean individual components, repair imperfections, and eventually reassemble the finished product. This involves a variety of small-scale interactions—scrubbing surfaces, sanding rough edges, repainting worn textures, and replacing missing parts. This could have potential, but at the moment it's not at all satisfying to play. Initially, I really loved the idea of a game where you get to take apart, clean, repair, and put back together toys, but the execution is not even remotely there. I enjoy games like House Flipper and Crime Scene Cleaner, and was expecting something more along those lines. In those games, you get to choose what item you think is best for the job, and have to direct those cleaning items over the areas you wish to fix up, with a percentage showing how much you've completed of 100%. This game is point-and-click only. It holds your hand through the entire process to the point where it practically does it for you. You don't even have the option of picking the wrong method of repair. When it comes to cleaning and painting the toys, you just waggle the mouse cursor over the item, within a small, set area of movement, until it's finished. The ultrasonic cleaner and sticker printer are an even worse experience in terms of expectations vs reality. On the ultrasonic cleaner, you just press a single button so you can watch some animated bubbles for a few seconds, and nothing more, and printing the stickers is also…
