Jewel Match Solitaire Fantasy - Collector's Edition

It's definitely old, but it would be better to call it Vintage. All I can say is that this is a LOT of solitaire. I've got 30 hours of play time in, and I think I'm maybe halfway through the offerings. The hands are generally well-balanced with very few super-easy and very few super-hard. Just enough to remind you how good the rest of it is. 10/10 as solitaire goes.

I am playing this game for the second time. I enjoyed that I decided to play again. The first time I played in normal mode but I am having more fun in Relaxed mode. I like the detailed drawings. For example, You could actually watch the pirate ship trying to destroy the hamlet of Eldenbrook. Also, I noticed something new about the game that I will have to play it for the third time (whenever that will be?) I usually hit the button to play which brings me to the next level than using the large dots on the map. I didn't realize that some places on the map was sparkly and went to investigate one, there was bonus playing! I want to go through this game in Relaxed Mode as I like it to be "relaxed" to the end without interference. Maybe on the 3rd try, I could try a different mode or keep the same as I go through each hamlet and play the bonus games. Still like building my castle; Of course, mine is different! You have to go through the game to get the joke. Enjoy multiple plays!!!

I really like all the bells and whistles in this game, which are more fun than any of the other Jewel Match Solitaire Games so far. I play in Relaxed Mode and it really is relaxing for me. It has over a thousand individual levels, and I'm on my second time through it. There haven't been any glitches at all. The one thing I didn't like was having the sky filled with so many creepy flying types of creatures, but then I found I could make them invisible through the scene manager, so now I can enjoy the ones I enjoy and don't have to look at the ones I don't enjoy. I find the newest (Atlantis 5) game by this developer quite nice, but not nearly as much fun as this one is. The story line is not very complicated, but it adds a lot of variety and interesting passages to the journey. Very enjoyable for me!

This was a fun one for this series! The change up here comes from the fantasy theme, allowing for a few set short adventure stories when you reach towns on the map. These are pretty charming, giving some fun little story bits where you help random people with problems, which tend to spiral out into absurd directions. It was a fun idea, and while I would have liked to see this team do a proper solitaire RPG like their publsiher's Shadowhand and Ancient Enemy games, this was a breath of fresh air for these Jewel Match Solitaire games. Would like to see them mess around with the formula a bit more like this, since their attempts at gimmick levels can be more hit or miss.

The best, along with the two Regency Solitaires. (They're also two that have a plot, unlike other versions. But if the plots had been poorly executed, I certainly wouldn't have written them as the best. Probably, the two versions of Shadow Hand are also at high levels, but I haven't tried them yet). This version is perfect: from the animations to the frog selection. The frog, beautifully animated, is clearly visible (not the buttons of other versions). This version is not plagued by snares, strings, and frozen cards like other versions. The bonus games based on variations of the main game are excellent also. Forget the classic solitaire games, which have card spacing issues (the cards are too close to each other, the ones above the ones below. The only version not having this problem is Jewel Match Solitaire Collector's Edition, which, however, has a very, very annoying background shading). I pretend the classic solitaire games aren't there, also because the game survives very well without them. Rating: 9.5/10 (If the classic solitaire games had been made with the same care, the rating would have been 10.5/10)
