Job the Leprechaun

This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.

[h2]Pretty short, but quite challenging.[/h2] [i]Job the Leprechaun[/i] is a simple platformer where you play as the titular Job (who is a leprechaun if you didn't know), as he collects four leaf clovers in over 30 levels, with the goal of saving his friend, Eri. Kill enemies with his signature "m'lady" attack, bounce on cows, and thwart the evil witch's plans in this tough little platformer. It's pretty cheap and would be a great game to play on Saint Patrick's Day.

Job the Leprechaun, developed and published by Herrero Games, is a small retro-inspired platformer that captures the charm and frustrations of old-school design in equal measure. You play as Job, a leprechaun on a quest to rescue his kidnapped friend Eri, armed only with his trusty magic hat and a determination to collect every clover in his path. The premise is simple, but the game leans heavily on nostalgia, presenting itself with pixel art visuals, a chiptune soundtrack, and gameplay loops that could easily have come out of the late 1980s or early 1990s. It is a straightforward homage to the era of tight controls, high difficulty, and trial-and-error learning. The core gameplay loop requires you to clear a series of 38 levels by collecting all the clovers scattered around each stage before heading to the exit. Job’s main method of dealing with enemies is tossing his magic hat, which doubles as both a weapon and a way to add rhythm to combat. The attack is surprisingly responsive and allows for fluid movement once you understand its timing, letting you run and attack without pausing. Along the way, you’ll face a variety of monsters including goblins, zombies, and other creatures…

I would suggest this for speed runner enthusiasts. The quick pacing of the levels really lends itself to that sort of fan. Outside of that I'm not really so sure this is going to be as appealing to everyone else, but if you're looking for something you can play in very short bursts - this is a good fit.
