Although you’re greeted by a crisp, high-fidelity screen, it’s really just a façade. The actual game runs in a small window that takes up about a third of the display, while the surrounding space is filled with a static collage of in-game images. You can remove the collage and replace it with a black background, but that ends up feeling a bit empty. Thankfully, there’s a much better option. You can zoom in so the game nearly fills the entire screen without losing quality, which suits its identity as a homage to handheld platformers. With only thin strips left on either side, it becomes much easier to stay focused and immersed. The premise is simple. While you were resting, someone stole your key, and now you have to get it back. You play as a bunny, so naturally the core mechanic revolves around jumping. It’s surprisingly powerful, with the height depending on how long you hold the button. A quick tap gives you a small hop, while holding it down launches you almost the full height of the screen. Movement feels responsive in a forgiving way. You have air control, so you can adjust mid-jump or stop your movement entirely to land precisely where you want. There’s also a run button …

Very good! Nice charming little platformer. The art and music are very nice and lovely, and the gameplay does resemble classic platformer control schemes of being a bit difficult to use but a lot of fun once you have confidence with it! Has secret collectables available hidden throughout, some having achievements tied to them. There's also some extra achievements with challenges tied to them for anyone who likes those which I'm a fan of myself usually :) Runs perfectly on Linux, I'm using Fedora 43 as shown in my attached specs and I didn't experience any issues or problems with running it! :)

Very basic platforming that just consists of jumping to different platforms, sometimes blind jumps, sometimes you try not to hit the ceiling, and that's it. There's not really anything exciting or fun to this. And the music is absolutely atrocious to listen to.

This is a pretty standard run-and-jump side-scroller without a whole lot going on beyond getting from the start of a level to the end. The game is heavily focused on jumping, and it has an inordinately large amount of momentum along with a somewhat strange control scheme that makes movement feel very different from most platformers. For example, you have to be holding the joystick in the direction of your jump before jumping is even possible. The whole thing feels like someone's passion project—something tuned very specifically to the creator's preferences and capabilities. Unfortunately, that tuning didn't really work for me. The unusual controls and movement never felt particularly natural, and while I can see how someone might enjoy mastering them, I found them more awkward than rewarding. I only spent about twenty minutes with the game, so it's entirely possible that it becomes fantastic later on. However, I eventually reached a tricky jump that I simply couldn't make. Every failed attempt meant replaying the level from the beginning, and by that point I wasn't enjoying the movement …

A mediocre platformer with a bizarre romance subplot. The novelty of it being a GameBoy Color game wears off fast after seeing the extent of the gameplay. The controls/movement isn't great, your momentum feels all over the place. Jumping is very floaty but at least it feels controllable. The music is just okay, I've heard better on the GameBoy. Sound effects are as basic as you can get. The level design really ticked me off. For the most part it's just jumping from far away small platform to far away small platform repeated ad nauseum. The game hits peak frustration once it introduces steam, which forces you to stop in your tracks and wait for it to disappear. Story is next to nonexistent, unless you want to count the developer's rants in the save rooms. Achievements are easy for the most part, just some basic challenges which consist of more of the same platforming and some speedrunning/"hardcore" ones if you can be bothered to do them. I don't know man, I just feel like I wasted an hour of my time...

Seemed like it might be a cute and simple little thing, and I guess it kind of was. The aesthetics are generally pretty on point for a low-budget GBC title, but unfortunately the controls and level design are just really poor here (which I suppose also maybe counts as being on point for a low budget GBC title, but I digress). The momentum is very finicky and feels off- the type of platformer where you're always pulling back away from your jump with the d-pad to try and wiggle yourself onto a landing spot. That's kind of bad enough on its own, but its combined with level design reliant on lots of blind leaps of faith, general trial-and-error, and the rather unforgivable problem of being a platformer where you can crash into the top of the screen and interrupt your jumps. There's visual confidence here, but it lacks a solid foundation. The devs clearly need to do some more studying of quality platforming games to hit the mark.
