Pros: You play as a cat and you get to meow. Cons: The controls are incredibly janky, despite suggesting use of a controller for an optimal experience. No settings are available in or out of game to adjust your deadzone, which causes the cat to slide around for no reason. These problems are compounded by abilities that rely almost solely on your joystick input. Speaking of settings, you can turn the music or sound effects on and off. There is no in-between and those are ALL of the settings. Does not include ability to switch to windowed mode or change resolution. What it also doesn't include is the ability to exit the game without using Alt-F4 or Task Manager. The map is an okay size, but there's no real sense of exploration. You're a cat running between extremely blocky areas trying to find such groundbreaking abilities as *checks notes* zooming the camera slightly out or ...zooming the camera a tiny bit further out. And while there are collectibles in the game, the flowers advertised by the creator are not really collectibles. You pick them up, yes, but the game doesn't keep track of them and they're only used for a stamina system that's entirely useless. There ARE collectibles t…2 found this helpful
Would love this game, it is really cute and lovely, especially the way the kitties have cute meows. Controls are easy, abilities nice. Only one problem in my opinion. it's slow, FPS drops to only 2 during the morning but during the night it goes back up and i can play smoothly. I'm not sure why's this the case and i'd love it if someone could answer or fix this. It might be because of the lot of particles during the morning or the fact that you can only pick up the flowers during that time. Would still recommend, amazing game, really. But it still needs to be polished here and there.
This is technically a mini-metroidvania where you have to collect various upgrades that make getting around easier to eventually climb to the top of the world, at least in theory. Upgrades include wall-walking, wall-jumping, gripping to ledges, a map, and zooming in and out of the map. Sounds neat, but the game is janky as ass, and most of those upgrades make your life not really that much easier. The map blocks out a part of your screen, and in combination with the situation when the entire level zooms out, makes some parts impossible to see. Zooming in and out on the map also doesn't work, nor does the map properly update. Ledge-gripping means your cat sometimes gets stuck on ledges, whether you want to or not. The worst of all, though, is the basic jumping ability, which is just terribly designed and makes getting around extremely cumbersome, as it sometimes works, or sometimes not as you want to. Insult to injury is that when you do climb on top of the world, where the flag is, nothing happens. Was the game's End screen just not implemented, or did the game forget to mention what else it wanted us to do? There are also some gems to collect that then click into some stones, th…
haven't played for long but this is so frickin' cute wtf
This is an extremely chill and playable metro platformer. No enemies but a nicely planned explore and collect scenario. You play a kitty cat. How vogueish. The jumping is fun and there is no precision pain. Sadly the dev has not included a save or even a quit function. This renders the game unplayable by people such as I, who prefer short sessions. I'd have played on to see what's up there - I'm betting a gigantic flower - but I'll wait and see if a save shows up before returning. Good game if you have all night . . .
