Kinkoi: Golden Time

This feels more like they wrapped an entire dumpling just for the vinegar of Ria's route from the last game, turning it into a sizable afterstory. It patches up the regrets left by the original for its fans, but loses the special spark that made the first game shine. The ending feels rushed, but it manages to land safely enough.

Buy this one just to see Ayaka, but never expected for Mina to be so loveable Append is a bit longer than I thought, and it got plus point for this alone. Just... Before I start this review, I know this is a fandisc. They often are there to just to serve up gags and h-scenes with specific 2D girls and what not. That's fine - I'm not really saying any of that is a problem here. I think my overall feelings toward this ARE mostly feelings of disappointment though. The additional route for Mina is just kind of bland storytelling, and Ayaka's route was wasted on idiotic gags/jokes/repetitive h-scenes for people who like her fetishes. She is by far one of the most compelling characters in the VN, and I feel like they missed an opportunity to give us a serious story about her. As for the final route [spoiler] with Maria, your mileage may vary. Her route is retconned into allowing her to give birth to Ouro's child while surviving a lot longer than in the original VN. What magic was used? I don't know.
