Reimei no Gakuen - Otome/Visual Novel

10/10 would recomend it! A great visual novel, with a creative and original story, characters, art and music. Every rout you could choose is in itself quite long. I so far played though 3 routs and it took me almoste 35h. If you want to do every route, which seems absolutely worth doing (and I aim to do) because you can see the story transpire in so many different ways and learn things you wouldn't otherwise in others. you will have more then plenty of hours to read and enjoy, absolute worth the money spent on the game. While you end up close and spending time with the character of your route, there is far greater focus in the story itself instead of routes only being about romance which I quite like. This shows much more story depth and diversity, especially because every romance character and NPC has so many character layers to them which can even differ quite much between the story paths. I find the protagonist to be the most important piece of a visual novel for me to enjoy and Sheryl is definitely a protagonist I've absolutely loved going through the story, especially because she is quite unique compared to most visual novel protagonists. some small typos here and there, but overall one of my favorite visual novels i've played. the sountrack is fantastic and the plot is well written, i LOVE the lore and would definitely play some more from the dev if they have the same love and care as this one does. 10/10

This game is basically an anime in game form, complete with the slow tedious buildup, the lengthy training sequences, the ridiculous fight scenes and power levels, the surprising deaths of key characters, the dramatic reveals and dramatic final showdowns, the random interludes in the middle of tension for multiple minutes of slapstick comedy and characters going "..." and staring at each other, the magical power of friendship etc. Very competently made and well-polished, so I'll grudgingly say I 'recommend' it to people who are interested in playing an interesting anime. For me, I found it way too tedious. EACH of the 6 routes + common route was easily 6+ hours and also too 'meaninglessly unique' - much of those hours were lines that were meaningless and fluff (different training montages etc) that were technically 'new' and therefore wouldn't auto-skip if 'auto-skip seen content' was selected. Also way too light on the romance - all I ask for is a simple kiss CG but even that was nowhere in sight. Oh well, not my cup of tea.

This game has a lot of content for the price! It has amazing art, writing, music, and a gripping story. It has many unique branches that flesh out the really good worldbuilding and the battle scenes are partially illustrated and very well written. This game has a lot of replay value. All of the characters and the story and their struggles are somehow relatable and Sheryl is an excellent otome heroine - unique and strong!

Very long - great story line - really enjoyed the interactions between the characters - just wished there was more - more CGs too. The romance was a little light for an otome I found but I haven't played through all the routes yet. Enjoyable.
