Knockout Master

A very middle tier AVN. The quality of the game starts out rough but starts to get better in the later half. The story is servicable & the choices you make do matter. I'd give the first half a 5/10 & the second half a 6/10; overall I'm interested enough to check out the sequel when it comes out.

I suffered through both seasons, hoping this game's writing and story would improve further in, but it really didn't. Whoever translated this into English (at least I hope it was translated and not written by a native English speaker) doesn't know what they are doing. Typos, odd phrasing, really awkward syntax, and countless head scratching moments of dialogue and exposition that make absolutely no sense from a narrative standpoint are littered throughout the game. There are moments where you are faced with choices that feel like they have no real impact on the direction of the game that turn out to be significantly consequential and others that feel like they should have major consequences that turn out to be trivial. I really wanted to like this game, but I just didn't. Don't waste your time or your money like I did.

You’re an up-and-coming boxer from a family with seemingly unlimited wealth. I won’t spoil the story, but Knockout Master is a real diamond in the rough or should I say, an underdog. The story packs a punch with plenty of twists and turns, both expected and unexpected. I’ve already got a few theories about where things could go, so I can’t wait to see what the next round delivers in Knockout Master 2. Finally!, a game that shares my love for redheads! There are three so far, and who knows, maybe more will step into the ring next time. There’s also loads of replay value, especially for achievement hunters like me. Thankfully, you can jump straight into a specific “round” (act) and make your choices from there, meaning you don’t have to replay the entire game just to grab that one elusive achievement. After 50 playthroughs, that can definitely feel like a fight you don’t want to take! The images and animations look fantastic too, and even after 8 hours, I still wasn’t bored of them. After reaching the final round, I can safely say Knockout Master is easily one of my top 10 AVNs. Not going to be able to play this one. Modeling looks cheap Barbies Transitions are over the top; too many and too showy Writing has too many issues for me to get into: Setup is too much tell and not show. Don't need intros for everyone. If he really comes from a family of money, "getting a job" would've never been a concern, but he would have a car. Translations are lazy and ruin the flow. Makes any real immersion difficult.
