This game doesn't have an English review yet, so let me be the first! This game was really, really enjoyable, albeit a little repetitive in terms of accessing each ending - such is the nature of multi-ending stories though, so that's less of a qualm with the game as it is the whole genre, which I adore despite this fact. I liked that the overarching message of this game where 'sin' promises 'success' is simply... to live, and find happiness, and to not fall into the traps of capitalistic pigs, misogynistic/ageist expectations or generally to exploit the vulnerable, because these only offer short-term solutions. Compassion and listening to those around you is how you can navigate the "darkness", not only of this city, but of the whole world... and in the world we live in now, where the money of older generations is digging the graves of younger people, where the police refuse to help people, and where even the 'good guys' will throw you under the bus... well, this nightscape city of Kokutoto isn't too far from reality, is it? That made it really enjoyable, and it's a short and sweet tale I'd recommend to anyone who likes classic novels by greats like Dazai or Kafka, given a …1 found this helpful
