I don't usually like visual novels, so I can't recommend it.

I finished the game in about 3.7 hours and honestly, I had a great time with it. The story itself is fairly simple and doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but I don't think it needs to. It's a short, relaxing experience that knows exactly what it wants to be and sticks to it. The visuals are beautiful but the voice acting is easily the strongest part of the game. I especially loved how consistently the Kyoto dialect is used throughout the dialogue. It gives the characters a distinct identity and adds authenticity to the setting, making the entire experience feel much more immersive. The game also does an excellent job of capturing the atmosphere of Kyoto. From the scenery and traditional streets to the quieter everyday moments, everything comes together to create the feeling of wandering through the city yourself. It genuinely feels like a love letter to Kyoto rather than simply a game that happens to be set there. Overall, this is a short, cozy, and relaxing experience. Short but sweet VN set in Kyoto. A great start to learning Kyoto dialect and practice for Japanese as well.

Short lighthearted drama VN. Something different from the average VN on steam. Its focus is more on real life issues and problems rather than usual world saving/romance themes. Refreshing! Also it contains the collection of everyday expressions in both Tokyo and Kyoto Japanese so it is also possible to learn from this title. Big plus from me.
