Very Cute VN that really acts like a tour of Japan and gives you a feel of what it's like visiting. Sadly you can't actually taste the food but it looks yummy. I love learning about all the customs and traditions. Great little story too

Only in Japan. I never thought anyone could combine "educational" with "strategically covered nudity," yet here we are. I thought this was a joke tag, but it's not! I personally don't mind that, so it didn't affect my review, but just a headsup for those who do. Anyway, except for one "damsel in distress" type scene, which was too on the nose for my taste, this was a pleasant experience. You learn some daily life details about Japan in addition to history and pop culture. This is NOT a hentai VN, it's an educational game wrapped into a visual novel. The visual novel itself is just alright, but I wasn't expecting a masterpiece anyway (only so much you can do with an educational game). Recommended as an educational game for adults, lukewarm recommendation as a visual novel. There is a post-credit scene, by the way. Note: all achievements are tied to the 2016 DLC, so if you're going for completion, you'll get zero achievements without that DLC.

Living vicariously through a video game is actually possible

The game offers a good balance between challenge and relaxation. I enjoyed every hour spent playing it.‍
