Lamina Island

this is... quite bad. I bought it at a -95% discount and still requested a refund. I got stuck behind a table within the first few minutes.

I did enjoy playing this game, albeit I only scratched the surface with what it has to offer. Visually, it's cute with its bright colours and variety of creatures. It's got different biomes, so the animals/monsters differ depending on the area you're in, plus there's a selection of collectables to obtain per area, so it's got a lot for you to do. As for the gameplay, I guess you could say you play as a type of squire for the hero, so it's a nice change compared to other games in a sense that you can't make all the decisions (when the hero is done, then it's bedtime kinda thing). There is a lot this game has to offer, such as potion making, hero training, searching the different biomes etc, but while there is lots to do I also feel certain things could be polished to make it that much more enjoyable. An example being with the graves, once you've dug one then the day is done and you can't do anything else besides trek miles to your bed, which can be tedious in itself. I couldn't figure out how to bring the animals you collect home due to, in my opinion, lack of an explanation. One minute there is voice acting, and the next there isn't, not to mention the text can sometimes disappea…

Potions making breaks the game everytime, no matter if I'm using controller or mouse and keyboard.. making the game basically unplayable.

I have played this game on and off through its development and I keep coming back to find more and more! I love finding more animals for my collection and while the beginning the alchemy mini-game is super simple, it gets super tough to balance all the cauldrons. PS. turning into the animals is way more fun than being your normal self PSS. More mushrooms. Always need more bouncy mushrooms

I only played for a few hours - but the game has become forgettable.
