Disclamer: I am Korean and so might be unconciously biased toward this game. This visual novel is ultimately Chuunibyou novel with some alterations to make it distinct enough to avoid being too generic. The protagonist is one who hold pessimistic attitude towards others, like continous murmuring "I don't care anything about those idiots" , and he slowly changes his attitude after he met the heroine, who seems to be geniuely altruistic and even self-sacrificing. The whole plot is about 'what it means to be a true hero' - which he might be able to acheive depending on your choice. The alteration I mentioned above is that the protagonist himself is a guy with below-average strength and use a hero suit(of course it is in unawaken state at the beginning) as a source of his superpower, unlike many other protagonists in Chuunibyou novel who are born with innate power. Also, the heroine is 'a magical girl', which is suprising scarce in these edgelord story(most heroines in these stories usuallly do have power, but do not wear typical strange and weird costume of 'magical girl'). While these alteration doesn't affect a whole plot a lot(it still falls to be a typical edge story), it doe…32 found this helpful
A fantastic VN with a very high production value. Kinda blown away with the music in it, as there are several theme and ending songs with full vocals and a wide variety of music types. The story is extremely well done and unique (I have 100+ VNs and nothing even similar to this one), and the voice work is top notch. The translation is generally good. There are a number of spelling errors, but the tone and flow of the English language translation is good and sounds very natural. Overall; the localization team for English did an excellent job. My only complaint is that skipping text to complete all of the endings is very tedious, as the skipping feature is stopped every scene change, where the screen fades out and back in, or where the chapter animations are. This is a minor complaint, but it did add significant time to the acquisition of all endings. I recommend saving at every decision branch to facilitate completion of all of the endings. Also; Litona is adorable and Aco is amazing. I need an altruistic magical girl and sassy A.I. irl asap.6 found this helpful
I need to get one thing right out the way - Litona in not a magical girl, but a fighting beauty. She does not go around the neighborhood and help people and stuff. Art is nice, though MC needs more attention. Even with an okay suit design he just looks bad in comparison with others, but you will not see him often. The sound is nice too, both music and voice performances are flawless. The story is a little bit complicated. Every character is consistent and everything is more complicated that may appear at first sight. But at the first third of the game, everybody simply does nothing in a way of active confrontation. This time is spent on character development and interactions but seems odd. I only got the true ending, it was satisfying, but I have no intention of doing 100% w/o walkthrough, so I cannot speak of the entirety of the storyline here. Btw, getting true end here in easy, which is a plague of many modern vns. Overall, considering the price, I would say it is a 10/10 small visual novel.2 found this helpful
I went into this not expecting a lot - mainly just got it because I noticed that it was on sale and I remember playing the free game from the same company. And I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Looking past the sexual appeal side of magical girl, seeing how the main character grows to learn what it means to be a hero through his interactions with the ideal magical girl from a different world was certainly an interesting concept. I am yet to get through 100% of the content, but even with the part I have played thus far, it is at least worth the price on the sale. Disclaimer: I played this in Korean so I cannot speak for the quality of English translation.1 found this helpful
