About Lilith Was Dead
Lilith Was Dead is a murder mystery visual novel where you must solve the murder. You take on the role of a detective by taking notes (in real life!), deducing, and using your wits to find out who killed Lilith!
This game features many choices throughout (in the usual visual novel format) which can result in alternate paths and endings depending on the decisions you make. You must make your decisions wisely as some wrong choices may even result in you falling victim to murder! This game has an average runtime of around 1.5 - 2 hours long.

This is the first game ever to be developed and published by Heat Wave Games!
Our first video game, Lilith Was Dead, was initially created for a college project. However, during the creation process, our passion for game-making and storytelling couldn't just end there. So, we decided to found the company "Heat Wave Games" on December 1, 2020, so we could not only continue to make more games but do it at an even higher level. Now, we have a competent team of individuals whose combined strengths have the ability to produce amazing new game titles!
As a new indie game company, we hope to grow with the help of the dedicated players within the ever-growing gaming community!

✦ AI summary
Players are divided on this visual novel. Some praise its atmospheric watercolor art style, melancholic music, and emotional narrative about grief, along with appreciated voice acting and interactive choices that impact the story. However, critics argue the writing quality is poor and amateurish, the experience is essentially a clickable e-book with minimal gameplay, and the puzzle elements are overly simplistic, leaving some players resorting to auto-clicking through the content.

"Lilith Was Dead" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This e-book was a student project that, disgustingly, the students tried to charge money for... it's never okay for students to charge money for their homework, especially when it's obvious they failed the game dev course... these guys just filled out some Ren'Py e-book markup then called themselves game developers. Books aren't games. This is garbage... and badly written e-book garbage, with low quality illustrations and high school anime club fan-fiction writing about "Lilith", a fictional e-book character, being murdered. This is exactly 3% as interesting as watching a re-run of Columbo. This e-book isn't that linear and works more as…1 found this helpful

This game was beyond my expectations. I loved the twist, and the voice acting. Definetly one of the best games I've played, in a minute. It's like an interactive book or short story. And I love that the notes I write down actually came in handy.
its short and okay.the puzzle is not that complex, and the game world includes supernatural elements like demons which make it less rigorous.take it as a "fairy tale" instead of a detective story.
