About Detective Butler: Maiden Voyage Murder
Visual novels are story-based games, displaying characters on the screen while playing sounds and music in the background to create an immersive storytelling experience. Although most visual novels include branching paths and choices that affect the outcome of the story, Detective Butler: Maiden Voyage Murder has just one outcome. The only choice is how you choose to solve the mystery.
In 1962, a popular cruise ship goes out of business after the accidental deaths of two of its passengers. The ship remains a tourist attraction, until it sets sail again half a century later.
The CEO of a wealthy company takes his closest employees and son Gilligan on board for the maiden voyage. Gilligan happens to meet Detective Butler during the cruise, and as the two of them delve deeper into the ship's history, another incident occurs... Will Detective Butler find the culprit before it's too late? And will you be able to solve the mystery before the solution is revealed?

As a person who really likes playing Visual Novels and reading/watching/playing murder mysteries, this was awesome sauce. In this game you are mostly reading and there is very little interaction. If your a person who doesn't like to read a lot I wouldn't really recommend this to you. It's also pretty easy to get achievements if you are an achievement hunter. 10/101 found this helpful

While it's sad, in a way, and the free version is linear (I bought the DLC), it's still a good little story. The killer isn't immediately obvious, which I like, even though they were on the top of my list. I wish they'd make more of these, but since this was published back in 2017, I'm not holding my breath. My BL loving heart enjoys it a lot, even though there's no actual romance.

В целом — достойное развлечение для любителей детективов.
