Enjoyment: 4/10
For some reason the game has its own separate launcher. I really like the frosted glass UI aesthetic, it feels slick and clean. The launcher kind of acts like a music player and beatmap manager, and I'm guessing the game is UGC-focused and wants to build a community around the songs like 'osu!' does. I did encounter some visual bugs in the launcher though like some of the album cover art randomly freezing in place. The gameplay itself seems to be 4-notes by default and I haven't figured out if there are other modes yet. It has controller support but the overall experience was pretty rough for me. I played docked on my Steam Deck with a keyboard and it's honestly borked. I could only play the easier beatmaps since the game is basically unplayable on anything hard, the lag drops it to like 1-2 fps. I ran into a ton of visual bugs and optimization issues and it's definitely eating up way more resources than it should. The beatmaps also desync at random where a lag or stutter can throw the falling notes off and they end up delayed and off-beat. From the songs I could actually play, the feel is rather off. The official beatmaps feel rather amateurish and unnat…21 found this helpful
[後半に日本語レビューあり]
A 4-key rhythm game built around creation and sharing
Designed as a 4-key falling-note rhythm game, this title prioritizes visibility and control above all else. Notes and lanes are unlikely to blend into the background, and the sense of readability remains even during long play sessions. The core of the experience lies in the built-in chart editor integrated directly into the game, along with Steam Workshop support. Custom charts can be published easily, and browsing and playing other users’ charts is implemented as a standard flow. Rather than relying on the volume of included songs, the structure allows the scope of play to expand through community growth. The scoring system is also designed with an emphasis on accuracy and stability (an auto-complete feature is included). For players who enjoy 4-key rhythm games and want to move beyond just playing into creating as well, this feels like a title worth considering.
…20 found this helpful
There's many rhythm games on Steam. Many that have the ability to create custom charts and have vast libraries of custom player made songs. This game has about 6 tracks that come with the game as a 'free'' DLC (free is laughable cuz any base rhythm game should come with base songs to begin with) and so far, 4 player-made charts from what I saw. Not a lot. Sure, the game is just out and in EA so it can change but I am over developers trying to use that as an excuse. It's out in its current state being sold for REAL cash and not at a too generous a price either; so I will judge as a released game because it is. First off, the game's timing is wonky af, where it feels inconsistent. Feels like someone with no sense of rhythm and brain lag made the DLC charts. The player-made ones are even worse, which is, of course, why I don't play stuff like Osumania and Quaver, the chars are often just random vomit. But even then, when you turn off the music and play by merely looking at the judgement area to simply time presses with when they're exactly in the right zone, it's inconsistent. It's like the game is lagging or idk what, but you're simply not able to have even remotely anything nea…4 found this helpful
