About Lkyt.

In this tragic, dark fantasy visual novel, you play as Tasuku, a young warrior training with the other warriors who have sworn their lives to defending all humanity against the horrific monsters that will one day rise again to exterminate the populace. When the return of the Dark Reign comes early, you must take up arms and fulfill your oath. Empowered by magic fueled by the strength of the bond between you and your chosen comrade-in-arms, it is up to you and your lover to stop the resurgence of monsters — no matter the cost.

Tasuku and his fellow warriors face the "hollows" — horrendous monsters whose very touch can corrupt foes and quickly render them to ash.

Tasuku and his fellow warriors have mastered the art of using magic to stave off corruption, enhance their prowess, and heal from battle — but the strength of said magic relies on the bonds cultivated between partners.

Even though their odds of personal survival are grim, that won't stop Tasuku from finding hope and love with one of his four potential partners.

Penned by Kurashiki Tatsuya, writer for Maggot Baits and DEAD DAYS, the tale of L.k.y.t is full of deeply emotional moments and realistic struggles as it delves into the heart of what it means to regularly risk one's life for the sake of others.

Update: This review has been revised into my updated review format, including a new At a Glance section for quicker reader guidance and a clearer distinction between recommendation, audience fit, playtime, and MLM tags. At a Glance Recommendation: Recommended with strong caveats Best For: Players who want a polished, emotionally punishing M/M tragic fantasy with serious narrative ambition. Not For: Players looking for escapist romance, happy endings, or affirming wish fulfillment. Playtime: Around 10 hours per route, with substantially more time needed for full completion. MLM Tags: MLM, M4M, Visual Novel, Drama, Dark, Sex-Forward, Heavy Themes 💬 Supportive Caveat Lkyt is a tragedy in the most literal sense, and the game is honest about that from the start. There are no happy endings, no routes where the protagonist escapes suffering, and no version of this story where love leads to peace. Every route ends in loss, sacrifice, and death. This is also a game with intense content. It includes repeated character deaths, themes of self-sacrifice, emotional repression, and occasional but extremely graphic vi…

A beautiful story that made me want to cry and throw up—and not necessarily in the exact order. This is one of parade's more serious works which they definitely delivered. The romance between Tasuku and the other LIs—Takeru, Yael, Towa, and Ango—were realistically and intricately depicted in this visual novel's depressing world. The title of this VN, once revealed, really does sum up the entire story. It felt frustrating yet bittersweet how much tragedy occurred, but the love felt between Tasuku and the others was still real (well, I still have my reservations with Ango). I really enjoyed Takeru and Towa's routes the most; Takeru's dignified appearance and gap moe were really adorable!! And Towa was beautiful and sexy to look at/hear the entire time. My only complaints were that the routes seemed to converge too much with each other, and it would've been nice to explore interactions between LIs more. The gore scenes were also a little hard to stomach, which—I suppose—isn't uncommon compared to other parade games. Nevertheless, I look forward to other Steam releases from parade in the future.

For me the game has a slow start until I understood it has a world building elements mixed in it. After passing that I loved the game and the heartbreaking endings.
